Would like a refund on LG washer and dryer

Strengths: There are no strengths except it is a pretty red color!

Weakness: Washer won't turn on. Dryer shuts off after a few minutes.

Less than a year ago we spent almost $4000 on an LG washer/dryer, two pedestals and an extended warranty. The washer won't turn on and we have to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in to get it to work. The washer also has a horrible odor and also ruins our clothes if they are not instantly put in the dryer because of the mildew odor. The dryer now has started acting up. The timer skips...

HORRIBLE washer, Great dryer

Strengths: Washer: large capacity, uses little soap and water. Dryer: fast drying, steam cycle

Weakness: Washer: smells awful, poorly designed controls, tangles clothes

Washer stays wet inside, causing a mildewy smell that transfers to your clothes. Must leave door open after use (VERY inconvenient for small laundry rooms that connect to your garage). Inside of door collects dirt and funk. Must buy the stand (a rip off) or even the slightest bump from the skinniest hips will turn on the machine. Tumbling action causes clothes to tangle together and stretch out....

Just bought the LG DLEX2801 Washer and Dryer

Strengths: Very quiet! Large Capacity, steam, sanitize, allergy control, so many cycles and options to add to cycles.

Weakness: Have 2 mini Dachshunds. Hair remains in tub when I wash the blankets. Had to wipe it out then vacuum the tub and door. They are short haired Dachshunds....

I had read a comment about the dog hair, but thought it must have been a long haired dog. The problem was minor when I washed several beds, but when I washed several blankets, boy did the hair show up...but their was more hair still there on the dryer vent. My Vet told me that Dachsie's can have a hormone imbalance so he put them on Melatonin and it stopped the excessive shedding...but I had...

Strengths: NONE

Weakness: Do a Google search on "LG Washer Mildew Smell" and see what I mean.

Do a Google search on "LG Washer Mildew Smell" and see what I mean. We have to leave the door open and drain the pump after every wash. And if you leave the door closed - you are in big trouble. Not only will your washer stink, but your clothes will be ruined. You would think spending this kind of money would mean you get the best there is. LG denies the problem. There is a class action lawsuit...
