LG Support is dreadful - steer clear!
Strengths: All in one is convenient
Weakness: LG support will make you insane!
We bought our unit online at Applicance Connection. If you buy an appliance buy it from a store! Our unit arrived broken and we have been battling LG for 2 months, 8 services call later, they are still "reviewing" our case! While the concept of the all in one is awesome, LG is a nightmare. Their customer support is shameful and we are suffering! Used up a week of vacation to deal with all of the service calls and still no resolution! Buy from brick and mortar where they will take care of their customers and NOT make you deal directly with the manufacturer. SHAMEFUL!

Nice compact washer & dryer
I had to get a new machine because my old unitized washer and dryer was ripping my clothes. Because of very limited space I needed a small unit but did not want to get another "unitized" like the one I had for fear of the same problem happening. This was a great alternative and even gave me space to put shelves above it to actually have a place to store my laundry stuff. It's very gentle with my clothes and cleans really well. I love that fact that it automatically chooses the water level which takes the guesswork out of it.. It has lots of features and gives you really great control over how you want your wash cycle to go. It's pretty small, but I find it's more than enough to handle the week's laundry. Even though I live alone I'd say this could easily work for a couple as it's got plenty of space inside. The dryer is electric so it does take a while to actually dry the clothes The "damp" setting times about 3 hours but I find most of my clothes come out dry, only things like jeans and towels are damp. The slow dryer doesn't really bother me since I normally hang my clothes to dry but when I need something for the same day or when I have something bulky that absorbs a lot of water I like to run it in the dryer. Overall it's cheaper to get a separate washer and dryer but if your concern is space I think this is a great solution.

A Great Buy if you don't mind doing a lot of small loads
I was uneasy about the size of this machine and whether it could handle california king bed sheets. My fears were partly laid to rest, but the fix was easy. As a washer, this is a dream come true. I find my clothes much cleaner than the top loader I had before with much less water used. The dryer also works well but the capacity is very limited. My 1000TC cal king sheets come out of the washer looking great but if I use the machine to dry them, they wrinkle because they're too big. I just line dry them. If you stick to small loads, and remove them promptly, this unit is wonderful. With the space I saved by buying the combo unit, I was able to put in a small pantry.

Great product for my needs
i have done a lot of online research on washer/dryer for small apartment with no hookups. LG combo was the answer. Since washer needs separate cold and hot water lines i had to hire plumber to install its hooked up to under kitchen sink and I have full use of sink while in operation. Here I want to mention, that in my old building apartment when plumber did trial cycle, the whole apartment was shaking when machine was in spin mode, I purchased vibration pads and its much better. Do note, the machine itself is very quiet and hardly moves when spinning. It calculates the cycle time after you selected your options and put load in. you can delay the start of cycle. Dryer pros: its vent less, so once machine is plugged in, you are done with set up. I have read complaints about laundry being damp or wet after drying is done, but if you follow instructions (do a half load if you want to include drying, so that laundry can freely tumble), dries great. There is brief damp feeling when you first take laundry out of machine, but dissipate within seconds. Drying starts immediately after washing, so once you set your desired wash/dry cycle you don’t need to do anything but take laundry out once done. Originally I thought the preprogrammed cycles include drying , they don’t. you choose your wash cycle option(s) and then Dry cycle. I so far chose “More” for dry cycle, then tried “normal” and both great results with the appropriate amount of laundry. I believe the machine calculates the dry time once it weighs the load. So “normal” setting will be appropriate dry time for the load. After the wash/dry is done, the machine will go in CD (cool down) mode, and still turn from time to time to fluff up the clothes for some time. Dryer cons: it does take longer to dry than conventional dryer. Dry time is depending on the load. half full load with shirts and tees-hirts wash/dry 2-3 hrs. Laundry lacks the nice detergent smell, its very distant at best. Not sure if this is appliance fault. You cannot add drying time. You cannot select only dry. Pants regular slacks or jeans are very wrinkly. Washer pros: washes great, much better than Laundromat. White laundry is white again! If i only wash and not dry, laundry smells great. Washer cons: cant find any so far. Overall I am very happy with it, cant stop bragging.

my new wonder machine
It didn't take me long to adjust to the new way of doing laundry. I did my research before purchasing to learn tips that would be helpful. I used to have a dryer downstairs and I can no longer do stairs so this was the perfect machine for me. No need to have the wiring changed and my dryer due to evaporation the water goes down the drain from my former washing machine. Definitely not the machine for a family but for two people this washer/dryer was great.

Very well-designed washer/dryer combo
This model was recommended to me by a appliance serviceman who said it was the best designed machine of its kind. He was right. Far better than the Equator it replaced.

Nice for a small space
This is a nice compact washer and dryer unit. The washer part is excellent. When using the dryer after the washer it takes about 4 hours, so that is a drawback.

Very happy so far
We bought this LG to replace a no-name Italian ventless washer/dryer combo that sorta-worked for the last 10 years. The dryer function died about 3 years ago. Finally the drum started leaking and we had to replace it. WOW. This thing is amazing. And the dryer actually works. We've been using a ventless all-in-one for a long time, so we're used to doing many small loads rather than a few large ones. The LG has lots of useful options, a clear manual, an intuitive interface. And it seems to wash and dry just fine. It does vibrate during spin cycles, but so did our last one. Since the drier on the last one died three years ago I don't really remember how bad the vibration was. The LG is tolerable and the neighbors haven't complained. It's a lot of $, but if it lasts us 10 years it'll be well worth it. Yay.

Works like a charm
This product just blew me away. Based on all the reviews I read on the web (close to 100) I thought this unit would be a major compromise but it has been a delight. It washes my clothes well and I have never ever had a load that did not dry completely. In fact this dryer worked better than the stand alone vented dryer I had in my rental before I purchased my condo. One thing to keep in mind is that it will cost you a bit to install the plumbing. Maybe there are others who are handy but I needed it installed in my bathroom (that was the only place I could find) and I had to get a plumber in to get all the drains and pipes etc. done. Now I have a washer/dryer in my apartment and I have no complaints from neighbors about noise. To conclude, this thing just works. It takes about three hours for my clothes to wash then dry; longer if you have more than a couple of heavy towels. At first i balked at the price but I wanted a reliable product that used a regular wall outlet. I am actually thinking of using this same unit in a small house I am building for my retirement. That's how much I love this product. Kudos to LG.

Excellent Quality, Convenient, But Noisy During Drying
This machine works very well, in terms of washing and drying. Very convenient that it requires no venting, and that you can put a load of clothes in to wash and dry--without having to be around to transfer the wet clothing to a separate dryer. Potential buyers need to be aware that it makes quite a bit of noise while drying, for the whole length of the drying cycle, even if that is 2 hours or more. If the machine is behind a closed door in a separate laundry room, or on a floor away from bedrooms, it will be a very convenient purchase. I would recommend this machine, with reservations that the buyer is aware of the sound level.
