A cloth diapering mom's dream!
5 Star Review   By MrsMK on Home Depot - Jan 29, 2012

I have never loved an appliance before purchasing this washing machine! With a baby in the house, I have a lot of laundry, plus we cloth diaper, so that's another load every other day. We've had this washer for a month now, and I am so impressed with its washing abilities. It gets all of our clothes clean, is quiet, and has tons of settings, including a sanitary cycle (where it heats up the water) and a "water plus" button that adds extra water to each cycle. This is key if you are cloth diapering. We previously had a Frigidaire front loader and I had a really tough time getting my diapers clean. I would have to set it to rinse, then go back and put it on a hot wash, then go back two more times to put it on rinse. With this machine I just set it to Sanitary, up the "soil level" by one level, hit "pre-rinse" and "water-plus" and when I hear the chime about 2 hours later my diapers are perfectly clean. (Yes, the cycles do take awhile - the normal wash is about 45 minutes). The washer is also huge - it fits over 1.5 times what I used to put in my old washer, so now I do fewer loads. I also like that this washer truly senses the weight of the load (it takes a few moments when you press "start" to do this) and then uses the correct amount of water. And it actually does use enough water to get the clothes clean while still being efficient. I can't say enough about this washer. I obviously can't comment on the longevity, but I read lots of positive reviews about LG in general so I'm hoping this one will hold up well. I definitely feel it was worth the high price tag, although we shopped around and did a competitive match to save a couple hundred dollars.

Good machine
4 Star Review   By Anonymous on Home Depot - Jan 28, 2012

Cost effective with detergent, electricity and with water bill. It literally is a very easy machine to use. All you have to do is set the cycle and it determines the weight load so there's no figuring out how much water to use. At first, I was nervous but when I observed the cycle load it took a whole lot less water than I would have done. Moreover, the only issue is when the spin cycle starts. Depending upon what you put in the machine and how heavy it is, it can shake. BUT this should not deter you from buying this machine. We called Home Depot to come in and tighten screws and level the drawer on the bottom to assure that its level. So we'll see what happens and will write another review on the shaking, which is not all the time... Furthermore, this machine cleans clothes BEAUTIFULLY! No complaints at all. I had a heavy chocolate stain on my sofa cover and it got it right out without pre-treatment! I just used the HE detergent. Bottomline: Buy it. It's the best investment you'll make.
