Too heavy for older users
2 Star Review   By Oldlady on Home Depot - May 12, 2008

I've always been a Hoover enthusiast. The wind tunnel, although it certainly cleans well, is too heavy for an older user, and the attachment hose should be longer. One has to keep dragging and turning the whole vacuum around to get under furniture and into corners. It does not reach the ceiling. My old Hoovers always had handles for lifting and carrying that was placed in the center of gravity of any upright vacuum and made it quite light to carry. This would be an immense improvement on this new series.

WindTunnel Bagless Upright Vacuum
4 Star Review   By paodi on Home Depot - May 4, 2008

I am very satisfied with this vacuum. The bagless container holds a lot more than my other one, so I'm not going out and emptying it after sweeping every room!

Works well, finds dirt I couldn't find!
5 Star Review   By member slgilligan - Dec 2, 2006

Strengths: Powerful, found more dirt in one vacuuming than my old vacuum found in a few vacuumings, self-propelled, dirt sensor, easy to remove dirt canister.

Weakness: Loud. Very loud. Dirt canister has hole in the side [on purpose, not broken] which I didn't see there the first time I emptied it [some of the dirt went on the floor rather than in the trash can].

This is a huge improvement over my previous vacuum. The self-propelled motor is not too strong that it fights me when I pull it back in, but it is strong enough to do most of the pushing. It doesn't feel a bit like the 20+ pounds it says it weighs. I don't know how well this function actually works, but it's nice knowing that there's a dirt cup, a pre-filter, a filter and a post-filter [three separate places] that are supposed to really limit the amount of dirt that escapes into the air. The on/off switch seemed a little dinky when I was attaching the handle [the only assembly required], but it appears to work without any problems. I am able to vacuum my entire house [not a huge house, but a longer house] with the vacuum plugged into one outlet the whole time. When I go from carpet to hard floor, I turn the vacuum off and change the switch on the vacuum from the carpet level to hard floor [the switch is located on the top of the vacuuming piece, down by the light]. I am amazed at how much dirt it finds and pulls out of the carpet, and I guess seeing it in the dirt cup brings that to my attention more than if it were to go into a bag. The only real downside is the noise. It definitely is loud.

Bad Bagless
2 Star Review

Strengths: Great picking up dirt with main unit...

Weakness: No suction in hose to even move the "powered" attachments

Will not even stay attached to hand-no suction. "powered" attchectment use air to move the brush. A real joke, but it does get your floors cleaned when using just the upright part of cleaner.
