Was it plugged in?

I hooked it up, turned on the water and flipped the switch. This unit is so quiet, I wasn't sure it came on. It is about as easy to install as a garbage disposal could be. I would have had it running in about five minutes if I didn't decide to replace to flange from the old unit. It actually took longer to pull the old unit and flange than it did to install this unit.

Wow! So quiet I had to turn off the water to see if it was running!

I just replaced our Waste King disposal (due to repeated leaks from the "Easy Mount" fitting) with the InSinkErator Excel. I like the fact that the rubber sink...

High horsepower yet extremely quiet

We love it. Okay that's weird to say about a garbage disposal, but it was easy to install, is extremely quiet and has a lot of horsepower. Obviously not the least expensive you can buy, but possibly the most for the money.

Worth every penny. The Rolls Royce of disposals.

I live in a small condo. The kitchen is open-plan to the living room. When I run this disposal, which I do at least once daily, it is so quiet that I can continue a conversation with someone in the other room without either of us raising our voice. They're usually not aware I am using the disposal. If I'm watching the TV in the LR from the kitchen with the disposal going at full blast, I don't...
