LG LFC21776ST
2 Star Review  productwiki.com - Feb 13, 2011

The LG LFC21776ST is a high-end french door refrigerator. This three door fridge is ENERGY STAR compliant, and uses at least twenty percent less power than the U.S. federal standard requirement. The LFC21776STs four-compartment crisper system allows you to organize and easily access your produce. This system includes two humidity-controlled crisper drawers, a full-width Glide-N-Serve drawer, and a fourth drawer for fruits and vegetables. This fridge has hidden hinges and contoured doors, which makes for a clean design. The LFC21776ST has a shallow depth, so that it can stand flush with your countertop. This model differs from the higher cost LSMX214ST model in that the LSMX214ST has an LED freezer light (as opposed to a sixty watt freezer light), has the SpacePlus ice system (which utilizes a compact design and optimum placement to free up more shelf space in the freezer), has four doors instead of three, and has an ice/water ... PROS: (1) lots of interior space - suitable for medium to large families (2) one of the few counter depth models available in a stainless steel finish (3) large door storage shelves - great for storing misc. items ... CONS: (1) expensive - the price is prohibitive to most consumers (2) lacks an exterior water/ice dispenser (3) doesnt have an egg holder (4) magnets dont work on the stainless steel front

Expensive but worth it...
5 Star Review   By SFRunner on Home Depot - May 22, 2013

Little more expensive than the non-counter depth versions, but worth the cost if the space in important and you want a great fridge.

Great fridge for the most part....
4 Star Review   By Lifeisabeach on Home Depot - May 15, 2013

I really loved this fridge from the moment it was delivered. It's been doing a great job since we bought it over a year ago. Wonderful lighting, great glass slide out shelves, quiet, and efficient at ice making. The only draw back.... The darn finish. It is impossible to clean. I've tried everything to remove just the smallest of smudges and spots and nothing works. The sales person suggested a spray that they use on their demos, but it's extremely expensive. I guess that may be my only option. Change the finish LG, and you've got a five star fridge all the way.

Needed replacement part on first day
2 Star Review   By CLew on Home Depot - Apr 2, 2013

Fridge is counter depth and fits nicely into our renovated kitchen. We lost 2 cu.ft. of storage from our previous fridge so that may be issue down the line. Also, the temp. sensor was broken and needed to be replaced 1 day after installation (and it took 10 days for part to come in).

Very happy with this purchase
4 Star Review   By Jason on Home Depot - Mar 19, 2013

I bought this refrigerator after returning a competitors product because it was too noisy for my open floor plan home. The LG refrigerator is amazingly quiet and i couldn't be happier with that. The roll-out shelves are a nice feature but the orientation of them are kind of awkward for large items (2 Liters, etc...). The stainless steel is beautiful and high quality. If i had to improve anything it would be the latching mechanism for the doors. It's kind of clunky and not very smooth. Also, no scoop for the ice bin. Really? A $2500 dollar refrigerator and LG can't throw in a 10 cent plastic scoop?

French doors are a great advantage!
5 Star Review   By Twodawgzz on Home Depot - Dec 24, 2012

So far, a fantastic upgrade from my unnamed competitor's model, which made clicking noises 24 hours a day and regularly leaked water onto the floor due to a constantly iced up defroster drain (I will no longer purchase anything owned by the competitor's parent company). Biggest pleasant surprise is the advantages of French doors with bottom freezer over side-by-side. Advantage 1: LG's no water & ice dispenser means MUCH MORE ROOM in refrigerator, because there's now another whole door of rack space (competitor's water & ice dispenser, in one door, also left unsightly scaly water deposits, threw shards of ice all over the place, and required expensive replacement filters). Advantage 2: Freezer on bottom results in MUCH LESS BENDING OVER because everything in refrigerator (which is accessed way more often than the freezer) is well above knee level. It's a little bit inconvenient to have to open both doors to pull out two of the four internal drawers, but that's a comparatively minor inconvenience. Also, you have to be sure to shut the doors firmly or they will stay slightly ajar. Everything else about this refrigerator is great, and I couldn't recommend it more highly when a counter depth model is required.

Looks Fabulous
5 Star Review   By harmar on Home Depot - Dec 9, 2012

First of all the fridge looks fabulous. Since it is shallow it sits flush with our cabinets and just comes out far enough for the doors to open. We have had lots of compliments. It is not a large fridge. We are a family of 2 so it is fine and would probably be okay for a max of 4 people. You need another fridge if you have a larger family. Also the crispers are small so if you eat a lot of vegetables it does not have a lot of room. Shelving is good; inside lighting is bright; very quiet. Also, I have no problems with the freezer. I have had it about 2 months so I have had time to really get used to it. Before I bought it I had another fridge picked out but then went to the store and the LG just shined.

excellent.
5 Star Review   By alan on Home Depot - Dec 4, 2012

Have had fridge for a week and it appears to work great, including the ice maker. sturdy and holds a lot of things. doors open and close well, though you have to get used to the double door and make sure you close it all the way. The alarm is helpful, esp. if you have little kids that dont always remember to push it closed.

5 Star Review   By Kate on Home Depot - Oct 20, 2012

It's classy looking, VERY quiet, solid drawers, nothing cheap in the construction. Great division of compartments. The doors close tight; no need to give them a second push. Best refrigerator I have ever had.

Nice fridge
5 Star Review   By Wildmed2004 on Home Depot - Oct 2, 2012

Bought this to go in our pantry since it was a smaller space and we needed a fridge with a smaller depth. This fridge certainly fit the bill! There were less expensive "counter depth" fridges out there, but the other reviews about this fridge were positive, plus we bought the same fridge but with the ice maker for our kitchen about 3 months prior and it's been fantastic. Only complaint would be that the "door open alarm" can be turned completely off and won't turn itself back on after a set amount of time. I found this out since I turned it off while taking all the tape off the shelves and initially adjusting them as the alarm was annoying me. 2 days later I accidentally left the door ajar and realized my mistake the next morning. Didn't lose too much food, but I did turn the alarm back on after yelling at myself! I know it's my fault, but it would be nice if an important feature like that would turn itself back on after a set amount if time. It's much more common for someone to temporarily turn off a fridge alarm while stocking a fridge or adjusting things, but unusual that someone would need an alarm permanently turned off cause the doors are constantly open. Kinda defeats the purpose if a fridge! Anyway, love the fridge, highly recommend it! FYI: it's true stainless steel, so magnets won't stick.

10 days old and loving it
4 Star Review   By MrsSilvernail on Home Depot - Jun 19, 2012

LG delivery people were AWESOME. The care taken to packaging of product so all arrives safely was impressive. This was the only fridge we liked with depth small enough for our space, so we didn't look at many, but we are super happy with this. Love freezer at bottom. Seems to be as much space in fridge as in our standard size side by side. Loving the deep door storage and the many crisper drawers. The only thing that is annoying is that the door doesn't seem to close easily, so it beeps at us a lot to tell us it is ajar. But we like that it tells us. We will fix that after we finish our kitchen remodel and we make sure the fridge leans back slightly so the door is more inclined to close.

Excllent
5 Star Review   By Bnoyes219 on Home Depot - May 20, 2012

We really like this model. You can buy a larger model, but the counter depth looks very custom, while this model is a little smaller and more expensive than slightly larger models, it looks good. We've had models with Ice and water on the door, but have decided this takes up additional space, and always leaves the front looking messy. If buying stainless and can afford to spend more buy one that a magnet does not stick to. The cheaper stainless is harder to clean. This model is very easy to clean and resist many of the fingerprints that are unavoidable.

As good as I had hoped
5 Star Review   By Bill on Home Depot - Feb 14, 2012

Purchased this refrigerator to replace a larger one as I didn't want it to stick out from the counter like the previous one did. Looks so much better almost a built in look. However it is much smaller especially when you are use to the larger ones. Shelves are shallower, drawers are shallower/smaller but I will get used to it. Had stuff in the old one that was in the way back and never knew it was there sometimes. No water filer for ice maker which is good and bad as replacing them was always a pain to remember and expensive. Also sides are not stainless but when I look at others in friends home, they are not stainless on sides either so that must be normal. Like the product and looks great, lighting is great inside.

Never purchase any LG product!
1 Star Review   By Beverly on Home Depot - Jan 11, 2012

I have an LG refrigerator and I have had two circuit boards replaced in less than three years. If you do decide to purchase one pay the money for extended warranty...I don't think we should need to go to that expense but I guess with the poor craftsmenship we do.

Perfect Fit. More Spacious than I thought!
5 Star Review   By Shannon on Home Depot - Nov 17, 2011

The delivery was great. Product is super, super quiet. Thought the counter depth was going to be not as roomy as it was, but really, really wanted counter depth...extremely suprised that I could easily fit at least 9 or so gallons of liquid and then some on the middle shelf. Couldn't be more pleased!!

Great design, poor implementation, high price
3 Star Review   By joacchim on Home Depot - Nov 11, 2011

Bought this fridge one month ago to replace our dead J...A.. Pros: - Extremely quiet. Quietest fridge I have ever owned. - Cabinet depth for shallow openings (see other comment below) - Lots of storage space in the upper fridge doors. - LED lighting in upper fridge is nice and bright. Cons: - Stated width does not allow for hinge sides of doors. If you have a 36" wide opening as I do, you cannot place the fridge all the way into the opening so that it's flush, else the french doors will bind in the opening when opened. Add 1/4" to width dimension to allow for flush install. (And mine's a tight fit despite the opening being 1/4" wider than the fridge's stated width spec of 35-3/4".) - Freezer organization is barely adequate. One vertical divider can be used to separate meat from other stuff but the freezer drawer is so deep that things just pile up on one another, making them hard to find. Upper drawer is nice, tho'. - Not offered in black or white, only stainless steel finish. - Temperature display is the setpoint, not the actual temperature. I would like to know what it really is, not just what I have set it for. Nice for setting the temp but otherwise useless. - Expensive for a smallish refrigerator. Thus my low value rating. Other: - Manual states you must leave 2" behind fridge for air flow, so add 2" to stated depth dimension to determine if it will fit "flush" into your space.

Very nice, takes some getting used to
5 Star Review   By Susan on Home Depot - Oct 15, 2011

The previous fridge dominated the whole kitchen, but this one looks great and is very convenient. It has taken time to get accustom to the shallower design, and it is nice to not ever have to go looking for stuff in the back of the fridge. The smaller drawers seem to keep the veggies and fruit much longer than any other fridge I've had

Great refrigerator
5 Star Review   By jumpybee on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2011

We bought this refrigerator because we wanted a cabinet-depth refrigerator that was stainless steel, with french doors, and a bottom freezer. We've had it for about 6 months and we love it. Because it's cabinet depth, it's not as big/deep as other refrigerators we considered, but it looks so much better in our kitchen because it appears to be built-in. The refrigerator and freezer work great (although sometimes we see a little frost on the top basket rim in the freezer -- I think from opening/closing the freezer too much). It has a great alarm you can turn on/off if you have kids in your house who forget to close the refrigerator door (as we do!). Our old refrigerator used to turn ice cream into rock-hard clumps. This one chills everything just right and we like it a lot and would recommend it. I thought we would miss the space (since it is shallower depth) but the shelves are adjustable and it fits everything we need -- quite a lot. My one wish is that the veggie bin was a little larger but it all works out fine.

excellent counter depth, quiet, energy efficient...
5 Star Review   By GinFLL on Home Depot - Aug 21, 2011

I have owned for 8 months, great appliance much quieter and more energy efficient than my last fridge which was a bulit-in. It was worked flawlessly, ice maker is fast and not loud, my electric bills show a difference. This appliance was ranked the 7th most energy efficient fridge and it hard to find a great counter depth fridge. For those complaining about the french doors closing...here is the trick, close one door at a time, it closes fine! if you try to close both at the same time they jam, otherwise no issues, I have to believe this is common for the french door design. I like that the compressor runs very little and it is very quiet. I was not sure what to excpect from an LG so I bought the home depot extended warranty... no issues at all so far..other than the HD delivery service (GE) - they were very unhelpful and rude and refused to move my existing fridge or connect the ice maker!

Have only had this product 2 weeks but so far so good
4 Star Review   By blbl on Home Depot - Jul 23, 2011

Plenty of space in refrigerator. Very good space in freezer. The only complaint about the freezer is the basket is not flat so makes it harder to store everything neatly. However still more room then other counter depth freezers and enough space to store a frozen pizza and ice maker is not as obnoxious as on other refrigerators and does not consume all the space that others do.

4 Star Review   By NoHo on Home Depot - May 28, 2011

I had looked at this refrigerator at several stores and ended up buying online from Home Depot. The price was better and they were able to deliver it within just a few days of purchase. All of the shelves are adjustable and it is counter depth. Amazingly quiet and energy efficient.

Noisy broken ice maker
1 Star Review

Strengths: style and appearance

Weakness: ice maker, customer service

I made a big mistake and bought this LP appliance. I wanted to be good to my wife and have had more headaches from this ever since it was installed. The repair service person does not speak english. Unable to communicate and unable to get it fixed. I was told to run the water to flush the water line for a longer period of time. Its been running continuously for four months and the ice comes out dirty. Had the new water line and external water filter installed by a licensed plumber based on the repair persons recommnedation and this did not make any differnece but to cost me more money. My licensed plumber even told me I made a bad choice and should have purchasd a GE or Samsung instead. I learned my lesson never to get LG appliance

I love this!
5 Star Review   By BakerJane on Home Depot - Mar 27, 2011

I purchased this refrigerator last fall (Ocober 2010) because it had french doors, was counter-depth, and had the BEST warranty available. It is incredibly quiet and both refrigerator and freezer are brightly lit. After using it for 6 months, we are still happy with it. The only feature we would want to change is to split the full-width interior drawer in half. We still can't get over how quiet it is! A VERY WELCOME addition to our kitchen.

big expensive dissapointment
2 Star Review   By suthrncmft on Home Depot - Dec 20, 2010

The LG french door fridge has many design problems. You can't close both doors at the same time. When closing either the right or left door a substantial amount of force is required to ensure the door is closed. Since at least 1970 all the doors of refrigerators have a magnetic gasket that pulls the door(s) closed. The french doorsactually have a detent that holds the doors open , about 3/8 to 1/2 inch. While you have the doors open for 20 sec the alarm will beep to let you know the door is open. The alarm does not work when the doors are 1/2 inch from closing. When the doors are open this small amount, it gets warmer inside so thecompressor kicks on to cool the fridge and then freezes the contents of the fridge. I paid over $2000 for this piece of junk. There are only 2 adults in our house. I can't imaging what it would be like with 2 or 3 children.
