Amazing.
5 Star Review   By bebuzz on Home Depot - Jun 10, 2013

I love this grill! At first, I wanted to be cheap and just a simple $99 grill. My husband liked this one, and I was on the fence. Do we spend this much money on our first grill (ie, how much will we use it? will we like grilling? etc) The answer is YES. Here are my reasons: 1. I trust the Weber name (I know several people with larger Weber grills and they are very happy) 2. I love the size. We did also purchase the cart for it, and it is the perfect size. 3. I like the smaller propane tanks. Bottom line - I am a woman, and since my husband comes home from work late, I do 99% of the grilling. In the just over 2 weeks since we purchased it, I think we have used it every night expect twice when it was pouring rain. We are a family of 4 and I have cooked for as many as 7 people. Sure the surface isn't as large as the large as larger grills, but it gets the job done perfectly. This is easy to use and I feel comfortable using it. It is easy to clean, easy to start, easy to change the propane tanks. The side trays are helpful, they even have hooks for utensils. Due to the compact size, we plan to bring it on vacation with us. It is a truly great product. I highly reommend it.

5 Star Review   By richp on Home Depot - Apr 16, 2013

Bought for a dockside location with not too much space available. Assembly was straightforward. Connected 1lb propane bottle, opened it up, and hit the Start button - worked first time and every time so far - way better the the Start button on my PC - but that is another story!! Reached 500 degrees quickly - be careful if you like your steaks rare - if you follow their recommendations and only open to flip over once you will be amazed at how quickly the cook - or overcook to medium :-( enough space for a BBQ for four oir five people easily - and we eat a lot of meat! Excellent product

5 Star Review   By Belgium on Home Depot - Apr 2, 2013

We were looking for a gas grill that is not too big and easy to handle. However the cooking space needed to be big enough because we are a family of 5. The grill we bought is the perfect solution for us. It is very easy to use, it heats fast, the meat we grill tastes good.

Regretting buying the Weber Q220
1 Star Review

Strengths: It looks nice. The case will likely last a long time.

Weakness: Unreliable to work with a 20 lb tank and extended hose for any extended period of time. Problems with the design of the regulator. This problem is posted all over the Internet as it is a design flaw.

Weber used to make good barbeques, luckily I still have my old reliableWeber from ten years ago. My question to weber is how do you manage to makePoor quality barbeques when your old ones worked so well? Don't buy the Weber Q220.

No surprise with this product, top notch as always from Weber!
5 Star Review   By Rich on Home Depot - Jul 31, 2012

This was a snap to put together and is a nice step up in size and ability from my old Q100 which was a true work horse (stolen @ an outdoor concert). The built in wings are a nice feature along with the collapsible grill stand I bought so your not always grilling on the ground if a table isn't available. Thought about changing horses and going with a LL Bean "O" Grill, very happy I didn't. You just can't go wrong with these grills.

Fantastic barbeque grill
5 Star Review

Strengths: Great working grill for a small price

Weakness: I can't think of any weaknesses

I have had this grill for 8 + years. It has never let me down on any item I've ever cooked on it from hamburgers hotdogs ,steaks pork chops and so on. The best thing I like about the grill is no flare ups,put the meat on the grill close the lid, turn the meat 1 time and it's done. The instruction booklet tells you cooking times of all meats and is on the mark. I haven't had to replace any parts ,just a great grill._

Great little grill
4 Star Review   By southerngirl on Home Depot - Jul 3, 2012

Takes up very little space and has good heat. It's not too heavy so I can carry it from me balcony to my roof dek on my condo. It fits well on my condo deck which is 51 in across. Might be small for cooking for more than 2 people at once, though. I also like that I can use the big propane tank for gas or the small propane canisters which are easily available in my Home Depot store.

5 Star Review   By Russg on Home Depot - Apr 10, 2012

Cooking on the Weber Q is slightly differ than I expected. But once, I learn the secert, food was cooked to perfection. I beleive that it has to do with the cast iron grille. The burner heats evenly and cooks the food. Burgers, steaks, and chicken taste as if they came off a charcol grille. I am looking forward to having many great meals cooked on the grille.

Impressive, high quality little workhorse!
5 Star Review   By grillgirl on Home Depot - Apr 3, 2012

I generally cook for just 2, but this grill is large enough to accomodate cooking for a group. The construction quality and intelligent design is evident as you follow the straightforward and very simple instructions for putting the grill together. Unlike other grills at this price point, there is nothing that feels cheaply made, fails to fit together, doesn't work right on this little gem. I wish this grill and attachment worked better with a refillable propane tank, but I have to admit the smaller, non-refillable tanks are cheap and easy to use.

Disappointing
1 Star Review   By HomeOwner on Home Depot - Sep 8, 2011

We waited to purchase a grill for the longest time because we wanted to get a really nice one. And although our hearts longed the Weber Genesis Grill, which is double the price, after reading several reviews on this little grill we decided to go for it! Mistake. When we first got the grill, for about a month and a half, it worked wonderfully. We was cooking on it every couple of days, keeping it clean and bringing it in every night out of the weather, loved it. Now three and a half months into it, we find we have to light it all the time with a match, which I did not want to do. The burner only lights 3/4 of the way around so food does not cook evenly. We have taken it apart and the tube is completely clean on the inside, we have read the owners manual from front to back trying to figure it out with no luck. Then, last night when moving the grill the starter button just fell out. We expected so much more out of a Weber product after reading so many reviews that people have had these grills and use them for years. So it is very disappointing that after less then four months all of these issues are happening. Our next step is to call in.................oh joy!

Big Punch out of a littler grill
5 Star Review   By Garon on Home Depot - May 30, 2011

I purchased this BBQ for camping. I also bought the Weber 6549 folding cart which I would recommend if taking this thing on trips. The Grill itself cooks perfectly. I had no "hot spots" on the grill and even when doing 80/20 hamburger with cheese I had very few flare ups. This grill is perfect for camping as I can fit 2 whole racks of ribs on with room to spare. The foil trays are an excellent addition to capturing the grease that will inevitably spill out. It makes for an easy cleanup. It is a very sturdy grill surface and what you would expect from Weber. I have a friend who has this grill for home use and purchased the permanent stand that is much more sturdy. He cooked 8 Rib Eye's on it the other day with ease and uses it for his smaller grilling tasks. Enjoy!

Wont Heat and Other Problems
1 Star Review   By Bisonman on Home Depot - May 15, 2011

I have owned this grill for almost one year. Used it last summer on a camping trip , stored over the winter and now it will not heat. I believe the problem is in the regulator as the amount of gas follwing to the burner is very low regardless of the setting on the volume control. The second issue is the ignitor only lights once every 8-10 times but that too can be caused by low gas flow. The last issue is too much aluminum making the grill loose heat in a cold or windy condition. Everyone raved about this grill but after a few times, it became an expensive dud! Oh it is very heavy for a portable grill too.

5 Star Review   By MontanaAn on Home Depot - Apr 30, 2011

I have a BabyQ in my motorhome but wanted this slightly larger Q for my front porch at home. I love the larger grill area, the thermometer and the quick start ignition. I bought a high quality wood folding table which I top with a foil cookie sheet and the grill is stable. The fold out plate/tool "wings" are perfect. I cook for myself and sometimes one guest - perfect size for me.

Weber Q 220
5 Star Review   By Bobur7 on Home Depot - Nov 1, 2010

I was really impressed with the versatility of this grill. Expecting to be able to just do standard grilling, I took a 12# pork shoulder to it expecting to only sear and expose it to 45 minutes of smoke and then finish it in the kitchen oven. I set it on the lowest temperature, and it maintained never higher than 260 degrees, perfect for real BBQ - 7 hours later I had a perfect roast for pulled pork. The domed lid is just right for larger roasts. I'm going to do brisket next - can't wait. I love this grill!

Didnt know what to expect
4 Star Review   By mfrmn797 on Home Depot - Jun 1, 2010

I have been looking for a grill to use at the campground where i keep my camper but the grill has to be small enough to store in my camper compartment when i am not there. This ansers that for me but i was wondering how such a small grill would do. Well i can say the Webber name came thru agai n and was a big sucess. I made hamburgers , steak , and a 3 pound pork loin and it all turned out fantastic. The grill heats up fast and was very easy to clean. I was a little suprised that even on low heat it was at 375-400 I was hoping i could cook some things on low heat but anyway i got the adpter for the 20lb tank so i wouldnt have to worry about running out of gas when cooking a meal also got he fold down cart and glad i did.

This is one wimpy Grill!!
2 Star Review

Strengths: Very small, portable. Good only for hot dogs!! Well built but doesn't work well;

Weakness: Messy, Doesn't get hot. Hard to get the whole burner lit. The side trays are just plastic, break easily and only hold an empty plastic plate. Heavy. Useless for steaks

I have used this grill for a year now. It lights poorly, gets hot really slow and immediately loses all its heat when you open the lid. In colder weather it takes 25 minutes to cook burgers and forget about cooking steaks because it doesn't get hot enough. The Weber trouble shooting tells you - you bought a little grill what do you want? My advice, don't buy this little portable unless you are only warming hot dogs!!!

First Grill
5 Star Review   By Weber5star on Home Depot - Feb 16, 2010

I recently moved away to college and wanted a grill for my apartment. This is the best I've ever used. It heats up very nicely. I've even bought several of the accessories for it and they all work great! I rarely use my stove anymore. You might want to invest in the adapter hose. I love the small propane tanks because they're so portable but I hook it up to a larger tank when i'm at home!

Excellent value for small to medium grilling jobs
5 Star Review   By ClaudiaM on Home Depot - Aug 27, 2009

The fit and finish are great and the assembly is a snap (even with very limited use of my hands.). Clean up is quick and easy as well. The only disadvantage to the Q 220 is limited cook time using the small propane bottles. I'm upgrading today to the converter hose and the 20 lbs bottle.

Strengths: Built to work and built to last

Have owned the Portable weber for 2 years now. The ole saying goes you get what you pay for, but this is not alway's true, with a Weber Grill you get more than you pay for and they will last for years.

Weber 220 Grill
5 Star Review   By Alete on Home Depot - Nov 9, 2006

This is the greatest grill I have ever used. The larger dome allows more options in grilling or slower cooking, plus the temp. gauge is handy to know just how hot the grill is for perfect temperature adjustments. I researched these small grills before purchase, and learned the 200 series gets hotter than the 100 series. Although I really didn' t need the larger size, I now find it convenient to cook entire meals (meat, potatoes, corn) on the grill. This weber grill does not use any briquettes to line the bottom due to the cast iron grate, which makes for easier, more sanitary conditions and clean up. It just can't be beat for the money invested. The temp. gets hot to sear the perfect steak, chicken or pork loin, still keeping meat moist . I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE it, and I have never been fond of grilling in the past!

Q220
5 Star Review   By member yarnchica - Oct 9, 2006

Strengths: Small, efficient and worth every penny. We have now cooked everything from tri tip roast to grilled pizza without any trouble at all. No issues of having to get used to the grill. It works great!

Weakness: None that I can think of.

Love this product, were in credibly happy with the service from our seller. The item was bought on a Wednesday and arrived the following Tuesday. Quickest shipping I have ever gotten and all we asked for was the basic ground free shipping that was offered. Would definitely order from seller again.

Portable Q220 566001 Grill (Liquid Propane, 280 sq. in., 12,000 BTU).
5 Star Review   By member adams0816 - Jul 4, 2006

Strengths: can be used as a full sized bbq with a full sized tanks or small & portable enough to take on a small trip. It also has a stand you can purchase. it grills awsome steaks & hamburgers with even cooking.

Weakness: when using the portable tanks you can only use the smaller one.

This bbq has taken the place of my home bbq because of the easy clean up & how great it cooks food & its surface area size is large enough to cook 6 steaks at one time. this grill is even better than the older propane weber bbq's.

First Time Buyer of a Grill! Did much research, Weber Q 220 The best !!
5 Star Review   By member flyguide - Jul 1, 2006

Strengths: Ease of use, assembly and instructions were user friendly. Customer service gets the Kudo's award!! Cooked meal in record time.

Weakness: Can only use one size propane tank, 14.1 oz, should include bracket for the 16.4oz tank.

I am proud to say that I am a first time BBQer. I used Charcoal before and it took so long to get it going and I do not have control with the heat, therefore food always burned!! Laugh if you want, I am an engineer. So with about 30 hours of research, including going to every store; lowes, Sports Authority, Costco, Walmart, Target ect. I found the perfect Gas BBQ in the Weber Q 220. I wanted the unit for camping with my family of 4, yet for home use too. I first used it today and it worked perfect. I cooked 2 T-bone steaks and 4 all beef hotdogs. The dogs were done in 2 minutes and the steaks in 7 minutes. The new feature of thermo in the hood was a great idea, I was able to keep the flame down very low. Also I got this because of the stand. It seems durable enough and is at the perfect height. I showed this Grill to my Dad and he wish he wouldnt have spend the $400 on his home grill. I am new at this and the weber Q 220 is making me a pro at cooking on the grill, and you will find that at 100ft above sea level you will only need the very lowest setting on the flame to cook a 1 inch T-Bone. Bottom line: unit is small enough to be portable, comes with a stand as option, conserves propane and very user friendly. About the customer support? When I got the unit I called about prep for the grill, because online they say spray pam. Weber said just get a brush and use olive oil or canola ect and that pam tends to gum the grill. Also I asked tec support about the grill because at one edge it looked like the finish was scraped off, maybe during shipping. I told them it was only about a half inch on two bars and they said no probelm and it should not be like that and they shipped me a new grill ASAP. This is customer service at its finest. Conclusion: You will not go wrong with this Weber Q 220. It is well worth the money for a quality product that has superior customer support. Thank you !
