Couldn't wait for this to arrive. Took about 3 hours to put together but that was because I made a few boo boos :) Once I corrected my errors, everything fit and worked fine. I have to say, the instructions were only pictures which wasn't the best way...but we figured it out

As a owner of a near orginal red char I never thought I be gas happy
5 Star Review   By mead on Home Depot - Apr 18, 2013

summer of 1976 my exfather-inlawgave me his used red weber kettle grill. I was a haardwood charcoal fanatic. So when I wanted to do some things I began to think gas. My 37 years of use with minor repairs led me to think weber was a quality brand. I looked at other company grills. the seeable quality of most was equal to Webers Spirit series. The Finish on weber was 10 years, other warranties on the weber was double at least over other companies. The lifting lid test needs to bedone. the spirit made noise when you open it and you could see the connecting bolts also. the genisis has interior covering that makes the genisis look like an oven and open quietly. My test was to do a rotisseri Chicken. You have to remove the grills and store them underneath but you can use the warming rack while cooking the chicken. So I fired up the grill with a whole bird that was twice as heavy and the same price as my usual store bought one. I fired up the grill and had a problem. It was 34 degrees f outside and I had a hard time getting the grill cooled down to 325. Took me about 20 minutes. I now have learned how to properly operate the heat controlls. Last night I did my second pizza on the grill and I swear it tastes better and I think my grill bakes bettern than my kitchen oven. Note the picture shows me reheating an allrecipe called Moms Fabulous Chiken pot pie which has canned pilsbury grand bisquits. Notice the beautiful color of the bisquits. The side grill was used for french fries while I did burgers on the grill. Since I had my HD store order it for me online(wife loves the green color), I got them to assemble it and deliver for free. A competitor was also doing the same thing. I explained to my other halve that she now would not have any smells from most of my cooking since I would be outside grilling. than I explained when the air come on to cool the house down. I would be out side and that would save on the electric. My buddy who is making me eat crow over my change of Que cooking has a 10 year old genisis gold. He said he like a new one because he liked the green but can't justify a just for color change. this weekend I willdo my third chicken rotiserri. The leftover chicken has replaced nine dollars worth of lunchmeat. So that pays my interest on my grill. I cant wait to roast some fresh tomatoes and chop them up and make pizza. the tomatoes I did this with from the store were good but fresh should be over the top. Cokking tip roast the tomatoes shut the grill off let it cool down. When cool put apizza stone on the grills heat indirect to 400 and bake your pizza. but let the stone cool all the way down before you remove. I broke 2 on the kettle over charcoal grill. I thinkI like the gas better. BUY the Gensis series and you can let your imagination soar.

Keep it clean and it should last over ten years easy. Lot of money, but worth it. Have BBQ'd over 50 yrs.. My grandson loves playing in the box the BBQ came in.

Great BBQ
4 Star Review   By forestranchsteve on Home Depot - Nov 6, 2012

I've had this grill for several months now and it is absolutely the best grill I have ever owned. The searing station makes grilling steaks a breeze. The size of the grilling surface makes it possible to do two entirely different food items on each side independently of each other. For instance, we commonly grill an aluminum bag with potatoes and vegies on one side on low which at the same time grilling a fish or steak on the other side on high. If you can afford this grill, buy it!

Great Product
5 Star Review   By Dimmers on Home Depot - Jun 19, 2012

Went together very easily the instructions are very good. I have cooked both a direct and indirect meal. The indirect meal held a constant heat well. The direct meal seared the meat well. This is my first gas grill and I am pleased making the switch from charcoal.

Best grill I ever had
5 Star Review   By ScottN on Home Depot - Apr 10, 2012

This is the first gas grill I have ever owned. I always had charcoal grills.I was told theres nothing better than charcoal.Well...there wrong!! A good friend of mine bought this same grill and raved on about it so I started my search of online reviews. Its no wonder why this grill gets such high reviews. The way this is built it should be the last grill I will ever own. We've had a lot of grill outs since we first got our new grill and I've been told I made the best steaks and ribs ever. I was amazed at how well the grill maintained a constant temperature on a windy day. You will not be disappointed with this grill.

Worth the extra money
5 Star Review   By 47states on Home Depot - Apr 2, 2012

We purchased the grill a few weeks ago. Assembly took about 3 hours. It comes with a lot of well wrapped parts that need to be unwrapped so that takes a lot of time. It is easy to assemble if you read the instructions. You should have another person to help lift the heavy parts and place them on the grill. The grates are very heavy and good quality so once they are hot they produce a nice sear. And the sear burner works very well. Heating up the grill to 500 degrees takes about 8-10 minutes. In 12 minutes I was at 700 degrees. The burners sit a lot lower than our previous grills (Brinkman and Char-Broil) and I was worried about heat quality. In actuality this was a good feature. My marinated chicken usually caused major flare-ups on the other grills and on this one it would have been fine not to open the cover and check it. The grill is very heavy and when we moved it onto our deck we took off the cover and the grates to make it lighter. But the re-assembly took just a few minutes. The propane tank indicator works well and is an excellent feature. The ignitor systems lights instantly and works every time (even in wind). So far we have cooked burgers, brats, steak and chicken. Everything has cooked evenly and quickly. I purchased the rotisserie but have not used that yet.

Heavy duty and great grilling quality
5 Star Review   By MJ402 on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2011

Our family really enjoys our new Weber grill. It cooks evenly and is a very solid unit. My only concern was once we change the tanks when the first tank emptied. I could not get the grill to start. However, after contacting the support people, who by the way were terrific, they ran me by the problem, which was to purge the line before installing the new tank. They were very patient and knowledgeable and as I applied their suggestions the grill fired right up. I would definitely recommend this unit.

Great Grill!
5 Star Review   By Ziggy on Home Depot - Aug 6, 2011

Expect to spend about 2 hours putting this together, and a strong back, or a helper to unpack it & assemble some of the sections. A tip-when you first open the box & start unpacking, pull the hinge pins on the grill top, allowing you to lift it out in 2 pieces. It's heavy. After using it, it's great! Heats a little slowly, but when you feel the mass of this you'll know why. Cooks evenly, sears nicely-just like the pros! After my last HD grill, I spent this much over 4 years because the inside supposed stainless steel covers & grill bars kept rusting out. Worth just doing it upfront for a better grill. P.s. The delivery people were great!

Awesome grill!
5 Star Review   By Grillet on Home Depot - Jul 10, 2011

I saved for a while to get a Weber and I've been very pleased with my choice. The searing station is excellent for thick steaks, definitly worth upgrading from the base model. I've instantly been able to cook more juicy flavorable steaks with this grill because if its ease at cooking with high temps hard to reach with cheaper grills. The green color looks really cool as well.

Cooks Evenly
5 Star Review   By dmbark on Home Depot - May 28, 2011

This grill cooks evenly. Takes a little longer to preheat than other grills I have owned, but the wait is worth it. The searing burner works well.
