Small Grill, wheels, fold down sides.
2 Star Review   By Gordeley on Home Depot - Jun 12, 2013

This is a great grill as far as size, and the fold down shelves. Not happy with the wheel design. The wheels are very cheap and I can already tell we will have issues with that. The temperature gauge on the hood does not work. It shows a constant temp of 600 degrees even when the grill is off. Heats up great and a perfect size for what we were wanting.

Our porch is small , this Portico model fits and works perfectly
5 Star Review   By Marko on Home Depot - Jun 9, 2013

There are only two of us and this is the only real gas grill that fits comfortably on our small porch. It you can live with two gas burners, it works perfectly. Most decent grills are too high and wide and too costly. This Portico grill has the same quality burner and grill parts as the expensive ceramic coated ones-- these are ceramic too. It takes some assembly but we got a home depot guy to put it together for 20 bucks and got it home in our trunk with a bungy cord holding trunk lid. It has wheels so it was easy to move down the walk. Some reviews indicated that the aluminum was thinner than others in some places and this is true, the giant grills are built like tanks and are heavy like tanks and cost like tanks, whereas for 139 dollars this grill does everything they do but looks about as good as the 700- 1000 dollar grills ...this price is phenomenal comapared to all the rest. Downside, you cant make 2 12" pizzas at the same time , or even 2, 11" ones - but we prefer to go out when the kids come anyhow

Value=Patio sized grill
4 Star Review   By Laxmom26 on Home Depot - May 28, 2013

I have a small patio and wanted a new grill which this fits the bill precisely. I ordered on line, picked up at store and had a fully assembled and loaded into my Malibu's trunk grill. It heats quickly, cooks, quickly and I'm very pleased with it. One very minor issue is that the assembler missed a cotter pin on one of the 2 wheels and as such I had to replace it myself - no big deal....but all in all a great value for my purposes.

Very happy!
5 Star Review   By MLMEG on Home Depot - Apr 29, 2013

Easy assembly. One suggestion though... Assemble the column brace while assembling the column panels. The assembly instructions have you do it after the column is attached to the base and the firebox is attached. I ended up taking it apart. The holes are not drilled neatly so you will need to place the column on its side to weigh the screws s you turn them into the column brace. Cooks well. So far so good.

Decent grill for the price
4 Star Review   By Grillman63 on Home Depot - Apr 25, 2013

Just bought this grill on 04/22/13 and it was very easy to put together by watching the youtube video. It was about a 2 beer assembly if you know what I mean :) The only advice I can give you is don't fully tighten any screws until all the screws are in. This makes the alignment and fit much easier. I had no "warped" or "damaged" parts and all the parts were there. A screw gun and a crescent is all you'll need. I've used the grill twice and so far I'm very pleased with it's performance. Heats up quickly and cools down quick too. Seems to cook pretty even and flareups are minimal. Clean up is a snap since the grill grates are small enough to just throw in the sink and soak for a bit and a light scrub and bam....done!!! So with all that said this grill is NOT A WEBER by any means but it isn't priced like a weber either. For $139 I am more pleased with it. Happy Grilling!!!!

Great value for a small grill.
5 Star Review   By Egschear on Home Depot - Mar 11, 2013

Picked this grill up to fit on an apartment patio. Assembly was pretty straight forward, but make sure you don't tighten any screws for each assembly step until all of them are seated properly. Quality wise, I didn't notice any damaged parts and the materials are above par (quality wise). Once assembled, it heats up quickly and cools down after use quickly as well. I would recommend this grill to anyone with limited space, or beginners looking to start grilling.

well made, but not enough heat
2 Star Review   By teddy1mak on Home Depot - Jan 28, 2013

This unit was not as flimsy as most cheap grills, but there is only one spot with enough heat to grill properly. So if you are cooking one steak, it might be OK. Otherwise, get something else.

Don't bother
1 Star Review   Home Depot

You may as well get something that's twice the price. We had a few wam days and decided to pull out the grill again. Mind you that the season was full of, how can they paint or powder coat this with something that chips at a sneeze. The metal (right) screw are completely rusty and if the do turn will either strip themselves or crack the so called sheet metal. Anyway we pulled it out and saw that every weld is now completely rusty or has fallen off. One bad season this lasted, what a waste! My charbroiled lasted 12 years!

Very Disappointed
1 Star Review   By jberj on Home Depot - Oct 30, 2012

I bought the grill in part because we needed a replacement, wanted a small and compact unit, and enjoyed free shipping with this product. It came unassembled, which was expected, and the directions were relatively easy to follow. Two screws could not be installed because the holes were mis-drilled or had burrs in them from when they were threaded. We dealt with this as best we could. The unit does not ignite at the push of a button, we have had to use a match. We are dealing with this as best we can. The cooking is very poor - extremely uneven heat distribution and cannot ever get a searing temperature. It is as if it has a governor that limits the heat to medium even though the flame is clearly full blast. Overall we are disappointed with the purchase but I guess we are stuck with it.

Received USED Grill
1 Star Review   By Candessa on Home Depot - Oct 30, 2012

Very disappointed with my delivery. The much anticipated grill arrived via UPS. When I opened it up, there was soot on all parts and panels and base were bent. Looks like it had been used and returned then shipped to me. Time wasted.

Perfect little space saver! But...
5 Star Review   By Tode on Home Depot - Oct 9, 2012

This grill is great! Perfect size for one, doesn't take up a lot of room on the deck, and the grates easily remove for cleaning. Unfortunately, HD assembled this grill for me, and delivered it, but the LOW setting burns over 600 degrees (high). I have requested HD to come and fix it or replace the grill. We shall see. Other than that, a great buy!

Not for outdoor storage
1 Star Review   By jjmai on Home Depot - Sep 8, 2012

All screws have rusted after a few days in the rain with no storage covering. The drip tray collects water indirectly flowed down, and spills the grease over. The propane tank sits on a recessed well with no drain holes, so the well is full of water, causing the propane tank's legs to start rusting too. Cheap parts, not well designed.

For the size and price, it's perfect!!
4 Star Review   By GrillMasterGreg on Home Depot - Sep 3, 2012

I'm a long time die hard charcoal griller...but where I live now, I can't use my charcoal Weber, so I needed a small gas grill. I have a patio that's only 8'x8', so the grill had to be just the right size. The Brinkmann has a small yet totally functional cooking surface, (the only thing it's missing is a warming rack) and the fold-able side tables are great. The grill is simple to put together; I was drunk and it only took about 40 minutes from opening the box to lighting the burner. Yes, some of the parts were a little warped when I opened them. But people come on...for the price, what do you expect? After popping out a couple dents and flattening out some of the surfaces, everything fit just fine. Remember, when you assemble things like this, leave the screws loose until it's all assembled, then tighten all the hardware evenly and you won't have a problem. For the people that say it's wobbly and unstable, make sure you have it on a relatively even, solid surface, and then level it out with the adjustable feet. If you are looking for an efficient, space-saving grill, I definitely recommend the Brinkmann.

Good compact grill
4 Star Review   By nate on Home Depot - Aug 14, 2012

This grill is perfect for small patios or someone with not a need for a huge heavy grill. It is compact, but cooks very well. I have read reviews and people talk about rust and the grill falling apart, but I have no problems and it rains alot in Florida - no rust or even signs of rust forming..

Good grill for small space
4 Star Review   By SH1023 on Home Depot - Aug 10, 2012

We have small patio and most of the grills we were looking at were too large. So this is perfect and grills great. Couldn't find a cover small enough though. The one the manufacturer recommended was too big.

Great Grill for the Money 1-2-3
4 Star Review   By Face123 on Home Depot - Aug 9, 2012

Well my brother, sister and I decided to purchase this grill as an anniversary gift for my parents who are both 85 years old. It was small enough, easy enough to start for them and simple. Over all it is a well made grill for the money. Is it a top of the line Grill, NO, but the price reflects that as being inexpensive by comparison and it cooks very well. Us kids gave the grill to them last week and they both were so happy with the look, style and ease of use they plan on using it year round.

Unless you have money to throw away, don't purchase...after two months, the hood snapped off and when i contacted Brinkmann, they asked for a receipt even though a model and a serial number was provided. And since i don't have a receipt, i will be throwing away money.

Cheap and it shows
1 Star Review   By Adam on Home Depot - Jul 6, 2012

Might be the single worst product I have purchased this year. Typical offshore manufactured with poor build instructions to boot. Stay away, far, far away from this product. Flimsy construction, many of the screw holes do not match up well. Awful product, definitely returning. For the price-point go with Char Broil or Weber, I for one will never buy a Brinkmann product again.

Good for the price!
3 Star Review   By mcf1 on Home Depot - Jun 21, 2012

The grill is cheaply made outside the US. Instructions were close to correct, but not exact. Some of my parts were scratched and or dirty with greasy fingerprints. Sparking mechanism does not work everytime, and it is difficult to get behind the unit to turn the gas on and off without touching hot metal! Design could have been much better.

Compact and easy to use
4 Star Review   By VBgriller on Home Depot - Jun 5, 2012

I was looking for a small grill for the summer. This unit is compact, easy to use, and on wheels so it can easily be moved out of the way. I especially liked the thermostat to help keep an eye on the temperature inside. It's a little wobbly though. Maybe not perfectly assembled by the store?

I recommend this BBG only if you can fix mobility part.
3 Star Review   By Chuck on Home Depot - May 21, 2012

The unit seems to be well made, it took me about an hour to put together which isn't bad. The bad part of this unit are the wheels, truly bad design, two wheels sticking out the back makes absolutely no sense, the leverage you need to tip it back to roll is unatainable when the gas tank is mounted. I'm trying to fabricate a bracket to install two more wheels on the front of the BBG so I can just roll it around. Very stupid design.

Brinkmann put out a piece of junk with this one
1 Star Review   By theoldengineer on Home Depot - May 14, 2012

I purchased this grill because I needed a small two burner grill. Trying to assemble it was impossible! Quality was extremely poor, there were parts missing so the product got returned to Home Depot. Brinkmann's brand has hit bottom when they emblazoned it on this Chinese piece of junk. Think long and hard before you buy a Brinkmann product. Home Depot probably won't post this but their quality assurance officer with the company needs to take notice!

Customer Service is Horrible
1 Star Review   By cjstew on Home Depot - May 6, 2012

Just like others parts in box were dented. I was also missing a hinge for the hood. I had received 3 sets of side hinges but only one for the hood. I contacted customer service because according to the box it is "great customer service". When you call the customer service line, you cannot directly talk to someone you can only leave a phone number and when it is convenient for them they will call you back. Usually at least 3 to 4 hours later, if not the next day. I bought this grill in march and it is now May and I still have not received the parts I need. They always tell me that it will be 2 more weeks. Do not waste your money on this product.

Brittle Wheels
3 Star Review   Home Depot

I've had this grill for about a month. We cook on it about twice a week. While not in use we store it in our garage and wheel it out when we need it. Last week, one of the wheels snapped at the hub. When looking at the remains of the wheel I saw just how cheap they were. I went back to the store and bought some 2 inch polypropylene casters. Disassembled them with a 10 mm wrench and replaced the el cheapo wheels with my freshly liberated casters. Back in business and happy again.

Good deal for the money
4 Star Review   By Leaky on Home Depot - Apr 18, 2012

Some parts were dented in the box but it went together well. Finished product looked good. The lengthy assembly instructions are a bit intimidating and a little confusing but complete. Although I don't think this will get super searing hot, it works well for grilling steaks and vegetables. Heat is even enough to get the job done. WE have loaded it up and it keeps up on the cooking. Small footprint, no bells and whistles. Overall this is a good product for the money.

Kind of a pain to assemble but well worth the hour spent. The electric start works great, the grill is ready to cook on in less than two minutes. The tempature is easy to control. If you are cooking for only 1 to 4 people it's the perfect size.

1 Star Review   By someone on Home Depot - Apr 10, 2012

This is cheaply made. The screw holes don't even line up. Putting it together was a disaster due to incorrectly matched holes. It is not the sturdiest of bbq's and will definitely fall over on a windy day. Looks cute but really wanted a BBQ that was sturdy and simple.

Looks sharp and works well
4 Star Review   By GrillMasterGlen on Home Depot - Apr 5, 2012

Like the others, mine had a few bends in some of the parts. Two seconds with a rubber mallet and you couldn't tell. People, please learn how to use tools! I understand if it is scratched, but the bends were so minor, you couldn't tell once its all together. For the holes not lining up... again, maybe this is your first time using tools. You must get all of the other screws in place BEFORE you tighten one screw all the way down. It is a great grill for a small family, I love the convenience of propane. (I am a long time charcoal griller)

Would not purchase this again....
2 Star Review   By JourneyAbout on Home Depot - Mar 25, 2012

Just bought this and brought it home. This is the cheapest grill I've ever seen. Now I see why they had it up on the top shelf...so you couldn't touch it and really see the quality. It is wobbly, holes don't match up, it was dented and scratched right out of the box, some holes had no threads to hold screws, screws are soft and screw heads strip right out. Overall, this is pretty pathetic. We buy a new grill about every 2 years and just moved to a condo so the smallness of this grill was appealing. I will never buy this brand again.

Nice for the price
4 Star Review   By Retiredgrandpa on Home Depot - Mar 21, 2012

I bought this grill to replace a worn out char-broil that had already been refurbished once. There is not a lot of cooking surface but what there is is all usable. Most lower price grills have more fire box area than actual cooking surface leaving a lot of poorly heated grid surface. This grill has a totally usable grill surafce. It's a nice size for small spaces and even looks good. A couple of other reviewers say its not built well. Perhaps they're comparing it to a Weber because compared to other grills in this price range its very well built with lots of stainless steel surfaces. It was easy to assemble with everything lining up as it should.

Bought this item in lite of the other posts on here. Got what I was expecting, rough on quality and finish. The Grill looks good and functions well. Cooked steaks on this Grill and took like 5 to 8 minutes to get a well done steak. The grill will pump some heat. Takes about half hour with (1)adjustable wrench and (1)phillips or flat heads screwdriver. Follow instructions and your golden.

Decent Enough For A Small Cheap Grill
3 Star Review   By Beav on Home Depot - Mar 7, 2012

Out of the box there were some bent and scratched parts as others have mentioned. I really didn't fell like running back to the store so I put together anyways which only took about a half hour. I took pics of the bad parts and will see if I can get a price adjustment. With the bent and scratched seems it should only be a $100 grill. Has odd designs flaw, gas hose should not wrap around, it should go through the back, but thats me. Over all decent after I got it together and fired up. I would hold of for a sale though.

Junk
1 Star Review   By Consumer on Home Depot - Mar 4, 2012

Bought one and brought it home. When I opened it up the components were so bent and scuffed I thought it had been damaged in shipment. I took it back and exchanged it for another. Opened it up at the store and looked at the components on top. Looked a little better (but was still skeptical). Brought it home, opened it, and as I unloaded the rest of the box, I noticed half the rivets on the base had come undone. Very disappointed. I know it's a cheaper grill, but when I pay full price for something that is supposed to be brand new, I expect to pull something brand new out of the box.

Purchased this 4 my husband* he's grilled yummy juicy BBQ Chicken, Ribs veggies etc. Great grill =) "cooks evenly". set it up myself as a surprise 4 my husband. I recommend 2 people however & patience upon assembling. Once parts are lined up properly your golden!* it's worth the buy also recommend a grill cover 2 keep it looking clean & new.

Terrible Disappointment
1 Star Review   By Disappointed on Home Depot - Feb 18, 2012

Bought this grill as a gift along with fixings for a nice steak dinner for our son. Drove 5 hours, got the tank filled with propane and surprised the birthday boy. Just tried to put it together, base was all dented, screw holes were stripped, gave up and have to go buy charcoal. We are packing it all up and returning it. Unfortunately we now have a brand new tank full of propane that cannot be used or transported.
