Inverter Turbo Defrost adds a little cooking boost Panasonic has succeeded in evolving Turbo Defrost, which allows you to defrost foods even faster than previous Panasonic Auto Defrost. Panasonic Inverter Turbo Defrost technology is an advanced microwave sequencing system using the Inverter low-power delivery feature. It was developed on the basis of what scientists call Chaos Theory. This design makes it possible to distribute microwave energy with the most appropriate combination of regularity and irregularity. Our Keep Warm and Simmer features helps you keep you food warm until you are ready to eat A pulsing delivery of very low microwave power keeps food temperature at a constant level-without overcooking. Our improved keep warm menu now includes five items. So, food like stew, gravy and desserts remain warm in the oven until you are ready to serve. Need another minute? Use the Quick Minute feature Set cooking times in one-minute intervals, or add a minute to a current cooking session. Just what we needed
We bought an older panasonic 2.2 cu ft microwave used some years ago, and what a work horse it was! Five years later, this dinosaur (15-20 years old) finally started to fade. We had gotten so used to the large capacity, so that was our first requirement. When I found a newer version of the exact same thing we previously had, I knew that was what we wanted. When I found the price was in line with...

When I found the price was in line with other brands similar sized microwaves, I jumped on it immediately. Two weeks in and the microwave functions flawlessly. It does everything you can ask of it and more. A new feature that I like is that when I am heating something at say 40% power, an indicator shows not just the time left, but what power level I selected. It's little things like that that make this a winner. :)

you can make lemonade with lemons, but . . .
Date of purchase 1/22/11, stop operating around June, took the unit into authorized repair shop 3 times on 7/10/11, 9/24/11 & 9/29/11, finally died again 6/25/12. You can make lemonade with lemons, but there is nothing you can do with a pile of panasonic junk.

I have purchased several microwave ovens over the past 5 years and none have been very good. However, this oven has exceeded my expectations and more! It heats items in half the time that the others took to heat and it has some great "new" functons as well. The defrost function works like a dream; it actually does defrost and not cook the item. I enjoyed this oven so much that I purchased one for...

This microwave has lasted us for 6 years and died a slow death over the last 4 months. (we could coax it to work by hitting the reset button) We never had any problems before that and will replace it with as close at we can to the model we have now. (Inverter, 2.2 cubic feet, 1250 watts.)
