Just what we needed
4 Star Review   By Gossamer on Home Depot - Jan 29, 2013

We bought an older panasonic 2.2 cu ft microwave used some years ago, and what a work horse it was! Five years later, this dinosaur (15-20 years old) finally started to fade. We had gotten so used to the large capacity, so that was our first requirement. When I found a newer version of the exact same thing we previously had, I knew that was what we wanted. When I found the price was in line with other brands similar sized microwaves, I jumped on it immediately. Two weeks in and the microwave functions flawlessly. It does everything you can ask of it and more. A new feature that I like is that when I am heating something at say 40% power, an indicator shows not just the time left, but what power level I selected. It's little things like that that make this a winner. :)

you can make lemonade with lemons, but . . .
1 Star Review   By disappointed on Home Depot - Jun 26, 2012

Date of purchase 1/22/11, stop operating around June, took the unit into authorized repair shop 3 times on 7/10/11, 9/24/11 & 9/29/11, finally died again 6/25/12. You can make lemonade with lemons, but there is nothing you can do with a pile of panasonic junk.

Great buy
5 Star Review   By Norm on Home Depot - Feb 7, 2012

I have purchased several microwave ovens over the past 5 years and none have been very good. However, this oven has exceeded my expectations and more! It heats items in half the time that the others took to heat and it has some great "new" functons as well. The defrost function works like a dream; it actually does defrost and not cook the item. I enjoyed this oven so much that I purchased one for my mother-in-law as well.

Excellent Microwave
5 Star Review   By JoanF on Home Depot - Feb 14, 2011

This microwave has lasted us for 6 years and died a slow death over the last 4 months. (we could coax it to work by hitting the reset button) We never had any problems before that and will replace it with as close at we can to the model we have now. (Inverter, 2.2 cubic feet, 1250 watts.)

It just quit
2 Star Review   By RoadieRider on Home Depot - Jan 3, 2008

I bought this product in July of 07. While it was working, it was very good. But, it just quit on day and now I would have to drive 90 miles to have it serviced. It cost more in gasoline and my time than it does just to buy another microwave. No more Panasonics for this household.

CAUTION! Poor quality plastic door opening mechanism that breaks
2 Star Review   By member jonnisue - Oct 13, 2007

Strengths: None.

Weakness: Door button is so hard to push that the right side of the oven moves backward when pushed, requiring one to straighten the oven again! Vividly shows every fingerprint on number panel and door.

Plastic door-opening-lever piece, behind the door button, broke at 2 years. The latch of the door is so hard to push up that it caused this small piece to break and we are having to replace it ourselves. (Cost of just the little piece of plastic is $10.00!!) If we took it into a service center, the cost would be $50.00. Every time you push the door button, you need to hold onto the oven or it slides backward due to the difficulty of the latch opening the door. Poor quality microwave door-opening device!

Beautiful Microwave
1 Star Review

Strengths: Cooks vegetables perfectly.

Weakness: The product didn't last but a little over a year and it stopped working.

I am truly disappointed since I had my first microwave for over 20 years. I love the style. It fit the space in my kitchen and it was easy to replace in the space I had designed in my new home.

Panasonic Microwave Oven Model NN-H965BF
5 Star Review

Strengths: Size,sensor heat,sensor reheat

Weakness: None so far.

My family uses this microwave daily since it arrived in March 2007. The interior is very large so I can cook almost any size food in it. The sensor cook and the sensor reheat are a terrific feature. It takes the guess work out of how long to cook food. The popcorn button gives you the option of setting it for a regular size bag or a mini bag of popcorn. The digital display guides you through different functions and it even displays "Enjoy your meal" when your food is done. This microwave oven has many more nice features that are not complicated and are explained in the manual that comes with it. My family and I have no complaints about the microwave and we give it an A+.

Microwave
5 Star Review   By member lorettah - Sep 15, 2006

Strengths: 1. Bigger capacity than most microwaves that aren't conventional. 2. Keeps food warm without drying food. 3. Sensor cooking. 4. Has a very clean style.

Weakness: None that I know of.

This microwave is the nicest one on the market that I could find that has all the details wanted. I wanted a microwave that could keep food warm without drying them out. One that had a big oven for larger meals, and I love the sensor cooking. The sensor cooking is new to me and I really am enjoying it. If you want a microwave that does it all this is the one for you.

Counting for another 20 years
5 Star Review   By member shungkim - Jan 27, 2006

Strengths: Panasonic brand name. Design, Durability, Color (I choose black), Clean look. It last.

Weakness: Display panel (when you look from higher & side position - clock is not that clear)

I had Panasonic brand microwave last 20 years. This is the second one I choose. Hope this one goes another 20 years. By the way the reason I bought this one is not that old one is not working, rather we got bored (we gave old one to our family).
