Love this heater, especially the 500 watt setting, the others are minimum 1000 and 1500 watts to much for the room I use it in. Not many bells and whistles but who cares, it';s a heater!

Not too happy with this model. I had previously purchased the less expensive Flat Panel Reflective heater by the same manufacturer and was very pleased with that one, so I figured I would be happy with a slightly larger model for a bigger room. NOT! This model gives off a very "soft" heat. Because there is no "glow" from the unit itself, you are not even sure it's getting warm unless you look at the "on" light. The fact that it uses 1000 watts of power (instead of 800 like the flat panel) I was looking for more heat. It doesn't give it. I'm quite unhappy with the little heat it does give off and the fact that it has no "swing" option so as to spread the heat around. There is just a "ball" of warmth straight up from the top of the heater vent, even after 2 hours of continuous running on high. Don't waste your money. Get the cheaper HR3-08-21 model. Now that's a heater! And uses less wattage.

Radiant Heater - works in closed areas
Strengths: Works well in closed area
Weakness: Works well mostly in closed areas. Not so good in open family rooms, etc. Takes a long time to heat up.
We liked the looks of the product. It does not take up a lot of space. It is really convenient that it has wheels. We liked it in our bedroom but not so much in the family room since it doesn't seem to work well in open spaces. However, it takes a long time to heat up the room.
