The box containing the heater was in poor condition and the remote was missing. Although there was a rattle, the heater appears to work fine. The remote was sent after I called customer service.

Reliable product
5 Star Review   By marvinhay on Home Depot - Feb 26, 2013

I bought several different space heaters and they all have lasted for less than a year. This one looks like it is more durable and designed with better technology. If I ever needed another space heater I would buy another one of these, unless somebody comes up with a better product.

Overall very good heater for the price.
5 Star Review   By SunBunny on Home Depot - Feb 26, 2013

This heater is quiet, even on high setting. The buttons for the settings and thermostat are clear and easy to read. The construction feels solid and the cord stays cool even on the high setting. The directional lever is nice too for directing the warm air where you want it. I've had a micathermic convection heater for years and I thought I would not like a forced air heater, but its not bad. Only drawback - my feet remain cold while the heat circulates overhead (the same with convection heaters) oh well.

Do not Buy this Heater.
2 Star Review   By Senior on Home Depot - Feb 21, 2013

Heater arrived without remote control. Home Depot had one sent, Took two weeks to arrive.. Unit continues to make an odor. Not the one you get from a new electric heater. Unit does not heat well at all. So much for a "large room heater". It was returned to my local store. Would not recommend this unit.

Excellent heater at the right price
5 Star Review   By Lous on Home Depot - Jan 17, 2013

We purchased this heater and placed it in our kitchen which open to a dinnette and family room. The heater does an excellent job heating the first floor of our house, which is approx. 1,000 sq. ft. Our electric bill seemed to increase only by $30 which is great in comparison to the price of oil.

Excellent performer
5 Star Review   By framedoctor on Home Depot - Jan 15, 2013

This heater is a top performer for any size room that can be enclosed. Works wonders in the bedroom and larger size family room. I wanted to use it in a unfinished basement with lots of angles and such and while it does heat up immediate area it shouldn't be expected to maintain controlled heat throughout this type of space. However this doesn't not take away from the overall quality or expectations of the machine. It merely reinforced what I already expected. I need to go to kerosene.

Very good Buy!!!
5 Star Review   By Will on Home Depot - Dec 11, 2012

This is a great performing heater. I've purchased many and I'd have to say, by far that this is the best one yet. I use this heater in my one and one half car garage and in approximately 50 degree weather, uninsulated...I was able to feel an immediate difference in temperature. I'm looking at purchasing a second one just to have as a back up for my home.

Heater works great

Heaters work great. They are keeping room at cold end of house warm with minimal effort. The auto thermostat controls the temperature and you can barely hear them while running.

Great Heater
5 Star Review   By Eric on Home Depot - Oct 31, 2012

Bought this heater to heat my kitchen and small hallway that goes to my bathroom and also the bathroom, live in a small one bedroom apartment and the space heater in here is in the living room and is Very loud, it gets on your nerves after awhile, so I've been using a silent electric heater in the living room and love it, but I needed one for the kitchen like I said, that could handle the cold weather and kick out some heat also, so I bought this heater and it works great, looks good, put it right against a closet door in the hallway and its also very quiet, has a good fan, light weight and easy to use, it even freshens the air, heat goes right in the kitchen and bathroom, has all the features you want, timer, low setting and high and auto setting, temp setting, adjust the airflow from straight out to toward the ceiling, made with a hard study plastic, not cheap plastic, this heater kicks out major heat, its way better than my expensive Eden Pure heater I bought that keeps breaking down on me, wish I would have bought this first before I bought that Eden Pure, buy this heater, you will love it!!! Its safe to touch, does now get hot like other heaters, just where the heat comes out, but it won't burn you, this heater is a great buy, you won't be sorry you bought it.

Warms up a 2 car garage very quickly!
5 Star Review   By Mams on Home Depot - Feb 9, 2012

My energy rating is just what I have seen in 2 months, so far no increase, but it's not running hard at all to keep the garage at 55F as the cold temps just set in. I love being able to keep it on all day with the thermostat and it is always nice and toasty in there. I had forgot to lower the thermostat one night and woke up to 74F no problem. The remote is a nice feature however since I leave the thermostat on, I don't have a use for it. Got it shipped in less than a week which was also great. Waking up to a car that doesn't have to get to operating temperature is nice as well. Pros; Quiet, thermostat, small, directional fan. Con; maybe energy draw, but not sure.

Excellent
5 Star Review   By shertruss on Home Depot - Feb 1, 2012

I love anything I can just slide out of the box , put the batteries in the remote and it is ready to use. And it is not one of the heaters that you have to have your manual available in case you forgot how to operate.

Throws good heat. Thermostat a little off.
4 Star Review   By milkman07 on Home Depot - Jan 31, 2012

This would be an A+ heater except for one thing - the thermostat. It always reads 5-6 degrees different than actual room temperature. You have to take this into account to assure a comfortable room. Also the heater doesn't always shut off after it reaches the thermostat setting. You could wake up to a room 10 degrees warmer than what you have it set for.

Great Heater!
5 Star Review   By voltaire on Home Depot - Jan 31, 2012

This heater is cutting my oil bill by 1/3. I've had it for a little over a month and it works great. My electric bill has increased by around $15 dollars for that month but my oil savings are around $150 so needless to say this baby is working much better than I thought it would. Come the milder months like march and april when it is still chilly, I won't be needing to turn the furnace on and that too will save me a ton.

Works well
5 Star Review   By Sceloporus on Home Depot - Jan 3, 2012

Our living room is always colder than the rest of the house. The Cyclonic Lasko heater helps a lot. The room is large (18x22), and opens into the dining room, so other heaters were less effective. I tried 3 other heaters, and the Lasko heater was the best. We have run the heater for almost 2 months, and our electric bill has only slightly increased. We let the heater run five hours per day, for 30 days, and our electric bill increased approximately $15. Our gas is extremely low this year, so the Lasko heater works well.

Great Little Heater
5 Star Review   By Christina on Home Depot - Dec 6, 2011

I wanted a small heater for a sunroom that is not well-insulated. This heater is perfect with its automatic setting at a temperature of choice. It can be programmed to turn off after an hour--a good energy saving feature. It is stylish. I like the remote control which is easy to use. I don't have any trouble with it tipping over because it sits on a stable wooden floor. The high mode is a little loud, but not a major problem. I don't yet know how much my electric bill might go up--but I am hoping since use of this heater is intermittent, not much.

Not as efficient and quiet as expected
3 Star Review   By Celine on Home Depot - Dec 4, 2011

It is not obvious from reading the description of the product on the Home Depot website that this heater only contains a "ceramic component", which means that it blows out a lot of hot air. It is noisier than an oil bath heater, and parches you out. I am not sure about its energy efficiency, as it seems we have our two heaters on a lot. The "thermostat" setting makes the heater go into "high mode" to keep the temperature, you cannot pick a "low mode". So during the night the heater will blast off suddenly. The buttons make a loud beeping sound when pressed. On the upside, they are big enough that you can do it with your foot...

A very good heater
5 Star Review   By Paul on Home Depot - Nov 26, 2011

My central heating system keeps the 2nd floor warm, but the 1st floor is too cold. The Lasko heater is maintaining a comfortable temperature for 800 sq ft on the ground floor. It is quiet and reliable.

Was so cheap and light and very little heat coming out
2 Star Review   By Murphyslaw on Home Depot - Nov 22, 2011

Was so cheap and light and very little heat coming out. Had screws on the top side missing so was broken when got it. but I put the box outside and it got rained on so no returning it?! The Ionizer is not doing much, as I have friends with amazing Ionizers that you can smell the clean air when you walk in the room. not this one. I think its just a gmick. Well go get a $35 heater will do the same job . just because its big and plastic dose not make it better. so disapointing when I looked and looked online and read reviews. O well better then frezzing!

Excellent heaters
5 Star Review   By David on Home Depot - Nov 11, 2011

A lot of heat from such a small unit
5 Star Review   By DonP on Home Depot - Nov 10, 2011

Only in use for about 1 month but excellent in ease of use and the amount of heat generate is fantastic. Blows ample quantity of hot air so that if the unit is located close to you, it warms you very fast.

Horrible
1 Star Review   By Buddy on Home Depot - Nov 7, 2011

Bought this to heat the living room, approx. 350 sq. ft. Temp in the house was 58 degrees, turned the heater on and after 8 hours, it was 64 degrees! the heater ran the entire time and raised the temp only 6 degrees, that is unacceptable and horrible. I have one of those small electric "milkhouse" heaters that does way better and cost only 1/4 the price of this one!

good little heater
3 Star Review   By remba on Home Depot - Nov 2, 2011

we use this in the TV room as a supplemental heater. It works well enough but will not heat the entire room by itself. You can put it up against a wall and has a directional air vent so you can have the air blow directly at you. It doesn't produce as much heat as an the oil filled radiator types so consider this a supplement only.

High heat, low cost
4 Star Review   By Todd on Home Depot - Oct 18, 2011

Used in large bathroom part of a master suite. Though not recommended for bathrooms for safety reasons ours opens directly to the master and unit is placed at the open archway. North side location of room makes it difficult to heat...not any more! The heater works great and narrow shape makes it a good fit. Directional heating is perfect for space also. Unit does have pulsating sound at start up which is annoying at first. Best solution for space and price. Heats up bedroom as well enabling us to keep main thermostat on furnace lower.

Heater
2 Star Review   By tnellecxE on Home Depot - Apr 28, 2011

I got this heater online since it was not available in store and it arrived damaged. Still I thought I should consider using it. One of the things I noticed is my electric bill went up, so I don't think this heater is as efficient as I thought it would be. Also it does take a while to heat a room around size of 300sft. Next time I'll consider different heater.

very quiet, works well

The only complaint would be the box was slightly damaged and there were a few minor scratches and one corner abrasion. Otherwise the heater works well and is very quiet.

saves propane
5 Star Review   By terrytha on Home Depot - Apr 23, 2010

I purchased this heater to help heat a 32 ft, trailer. I live in Wyoming, and was going through 75- 100 gal. of propane a month. At about $2.50 a gallon, something had to be done. I`ve had this heater about a month, and would have burned at least two 100 pound bottles. Instead, I have used around 10 gal. It has used about 35 dollars worth of electricity. Do the math! This heater has paid for itself allready.

Thermostat Wrong Temperature
1 Star Review   By MissouriDeb on Home Depot - Apr 10, 2010

I am surprised by all the glowing reviews of this heater. I bought this to replace a ceramic bionaire galileo heater used in one room. This heater does put out heat and will heat a room however the temperature on the thermostat is so wrong that you can't depend on this unit. Sometimes my heater shows the temp about 6 degrees warmer than the air temperature. This wouldn't be that much of a problem and I could adjust to that. However it changes from hour to hour. One time it will be 6 degrees below the actural room temperature and the next time you check it can be 3 degrees warmer than the room temperature. So one time you go in it will be really hot in the room and the next time it is 62 degrees and the unit thinks it's 71 degrees. This unit is useless unless you are in the room and turning it on and off as you need it. If you are using it like that then this would be an ok heater. I would think that I just got a bad unit but my neighbor bought one from a different store and it does the same thing that mine does. So my advice is don't buy it if you think that you are going to set a temperature and it will keep the room at your desired temperature.

Great Heater
5 Star Review   By 1ManCave on Home Depot - Mar 20, 2010

I love this heater. Power settings, themostat and timer settigs are simple and effective. The remote is equally simple to operate. I am using it in a new shop/shed which is insulated. The heater does the job. I have confidence in the safety features.

Lasko cyclonic ceramic heater
5 Star Review   By masg on Home Depot - Feb 13, 2010

My son bought this for me when my unit went out. It heats quickly, is quiet, and you don't have to worry about getting burned if you or anyone else touches it.

wonderful heater
5 Star Review   By arkansashappy on Home Depot - Feb 11, 2010

we got this heater to keep our large bathroom warm in the winter, but also use it in the livingroom with vaulted ceilings on those extra cold nights. It really does the job! My husband loves it as he is 'cold natured'. I love the ionizer on it, too. It heats up quickly and is quiet. We are planning on getting another one.

great product
5 Star Review   By dorothea on Home Depot - Jan 23, 2010

I purchased this product in January of 2010 for my sister . It was a help for her because her unit wasn't working well at home. I decided to purchase another one for my home to help heat the downstairs area up, and it worked perfectly. Didnt need anything too big or noisy and this was just right. Thanks , Dorothea

Cyclonic Ceramic Heater with Remote Control
4 Star Review   By kayeb on Home Depot - Dec 26, 2009

We bought this heater to heat our basement family room which is 15' x 14' in size. Keeps it pretty comfortable on low setting but when it gets really cold outside we do have to turn up the setting. It is quiet sounding. We haven't gotten our electric bill yet, so I am hoping the cost won't be that much different. So far we are happy with this product.

Cyclonic Ceramic Heater with Remote Control
4 Star Review   By RealGoodBuyer1965 on Home Depot - Dec 26, 2009

I have an old house and no heat upstairs in PA. The winters get cold. I have not gotten the next electric bill yet but it keeps the cool out of the room. It is fairly quiet and cycles pretty well. It has yet to be determined if this was a great buy.

Pro's We are pleased with this heater in the way it operates and how well it harms our home it’s very quite and that it fit next to the wall is a nice fixture. We are very happy and would recommend it to family or friend. I really don't have any con's at this point.

Good value
4 Star Review   By Shiny on Home Depot - Dec 5, 2009

Easy setup. Controls are user friendly. It throws a lot of heat but the blower could be stronger. Overall a very good value. The ceramic heater is more effective than a typical electric heater.

Great Electric Heater
5 Star Review   By PANLR on Home Depot - Dec 5, 2009

I purchased this heater to heat my small apartment and it works great. I like that you can put it against the wall and that the casing does not get hot. They are also very light weight which is great if you need to move them. It is the only heat source that I plan to use unless we have bad weather and lose electric. I have already recommended it to a family member.

A great choice
5 Star Review   By IronMaidn on Home Depot - Nov 21, 2009

Works as advertised. Quiet. Someone said "made in America"... not true. But it works very well. If the space it heats is well insulated, it will keep good temps for little money. We use it in a 2-story garage, it's hooked up below, R-30 insualtion and sheetrock. Heat keeps garage good and upstairs very comfy. Will buy another for home.

You'll Stay Warm with THIS Heater!
5 Star Review   By iwiw60 on Home Depot - Oct 31, 2009

I have long-used this particular heater and only needed to purchase a new one when the fan finally wore out...that was after 5 years continuous service! I must say that the new unit has a much more powerful blower fan than the old one, which is a good thing. I live full-time in a large RV in snow country...I'd recommend this heater to ANYone!

The little heater that could.
5 Star Review   By SFTech on Home Depot - Oct 20, 2009

We bought it to heat a 15x15 room with 12' ceilings and it does a great job. Pros: It's made in America. It's reasonably priced. It's actually quite small about 24" high, 12" wide and 5" thick, (see specs for exact size). You can place the back against a wall without concerns because it only gets hot on the top. It has high, low and auto temp modes. Also has an ion setting (something about electrically charging the air to reduce dust). It has a remote. Cons: The heat that comes out of the vent is VERY hot so if you have little kids this needs to go out of reach. Every time you press a button the unit beeps, with a baby sleeping this is an issue. We set it early and so it's not a huge issue just like to be able to shut it off.

Lasko Cyclonic Ceramic Heater 760000
5 Star Review   By member LynnetteGreak - May 13, 2008

Strengths: Effectively heats and circulates the air

I am buying a second heater like this for a close friend of mine. I bought this model for myself this last year. It effectively heats and circulates the air in my 18 ft. by 18 ft. study with 10 ft. high ceiling. I can tell that it circulates the air because when my overhead ceiling fan is off, the fan blades move when the heater is on. The heater is relatively quiet.

Warming my feet as well as my heart
5 Star Review   By hotspot on Home Depot - Feb 5, 2008

After retiring our floor furnace mid-season we had a need for heat. Since we couldn't replace the furnace we looked at electric heat. This heater has been great. Our kitchen has never been warmer. Of course the heat load is not real heavy as we live in South Texas, but our house is a 1896 brick box that gets cold and stays that way until it gets hot. Our cats don't move out of the kitchen until it warms up outside. Much easier said than warming inside.

Cyclonis heater
5 Star Review   By sallybeth on Home Depot - Jan 25, 2008

We bought these heater to help supplement our upper level bedrooms in our VERY cold climate. The heater works wonderfully - our room is very large (15' X 20') and it heats it well at a setting of 69. We really like the ionizer that is part of the heater - helps keep the stale air out of the room. Good quality and good price and it's nice that it can go directly against a wall. Would highly recommend it.
