Warm but bright
4 Star Review   By JalehA on Home Depot - Apr 2, 2013

This heater works well and I like how it has a timer. The only problems I see are (1) the heater is really bright, so there are times when I have to move it away from my view, hence leaving me chilly and (2) The head of the heater does not move vertically, so you need to adjust where you sit the heater.

excellent performance
5 Star Review   By homeowner on Home Depot - Feb 26, 2013

This heater is efficient and warms the room well. The price to run this machine is much less than the ceramic one I was using before. I recommend this heater.

Provides great heat for low wattage unit, but the light is like staring into the sun; on the low setting its pretty bright...on the high setting you need sunglasses.

Not worth $50. Too bright
2 Star Review   By pump150 on Home Depot - Feb 20, 2012

Plugged it in for two minutes right out of the box and quickly packed it right back up to return at the store. Yes it puts out a good amount of heat but the light is too bright to put in front of you while you're watching tv. I had to try and aim the light away from our faces while we were sitting on our couch and couldnt do it. The quality doesn't feel like its worth the $50 either. Cheap plastic feel.

Works as expected
4 Star Review   By caverock on Home Depot - Jan 24, 2012

The sun-like heater works like how I expected it to. Heat is instant and directed at where you want it to go. It has 2 levels and even level 1's heat reaches up to about 6 feet distance. Each level also has an option to oscillate which is great. The only drawback is the glow can be too bright. Feels like sitting all night in front of it will get you a tan.

heats like a 1500w
4 Star Review   By edward on Home Depot - Dec 21, 2011

I kept tripping circuit breakers using my old elect heater since I like using the old school christmas tree lights and stuff.Figured id try a lower wattage heater. At 400 watts, this heater is pretty impressive. On high setting,800 watts, you need your sunglasses.Only drawback is it glows pretty bright. It should pay for itself using 400 watts vs 1500.I think Ill keep it.The cat thinks its a sauna.

Unless you want to wear your sunglasses indoors do not buy this. Way too bright. Going to return it as soon as possible.

great product for large area
5 Star Review   By Dixiechick on Home Depot - Feb 22, 2011

This unit was purchased for a large area and it has proven to be very efficient in warming the area. Love the feature of turning off after two hours of service. Gives a peace of mind for sure.

good heater but emits a LOT of light too
3 Star Review   By mthuot on Home Depot - Dec 1, 2010

The reflective radiant heater does what it claims: provides radiant heat and oscillates back and forth through a 45 or 50 degree angle. However, it also emits a LOT of orange-yellow light. So much light that one cannot easily sleep in a room with this heater operating - it is like a yellow searchlight. For daytime use -OK; for night - look elsewhere.
