Strengths: Works well for most types of grains; you get to control coarseness.

Weakness: Noisy, high pitch sound; grinds only low-moisture, non-oily grains; places stress on your mixer; quite expensive.

This grain mill works well, but it is quite expensive and its surface appearance is quite unappealing to me. I do like milling my own flour from a variety of grains, but you can only use low-moisture, non-oily grains or it'll clog up the mill. That means you can't do soy beans - I wish it could. A Grinder for you Blender

Strengths: No need to purchase additional electrical items for something you already have.

Weakness: Expensive considering you don't even have a motor.

I've only used it to grind coffee beans so far and it does a nice job on that. Haven't tried to use it for anything else yet. Priced kind of high considering you don't even have a motor for this item.
