Keurig Model B44
1 Star Review   By member philinmaine - Dec 18, 2012

Strengths: Convenient to brew coffee one cup at a time.

Weakness: Even when pressing large cup button, only brews about half a cup.

This unit didn't last much longer than a year, conveniently breaking just after the 1-year limited warranty period. Worked one day. No power the next day. Took the bottom plate off in hopes there was just a blown internal fuse. None found. Lots of Internet postings of other folks with same problem. Keurrig will not repair, but will offer a discount of a new model. I don't think I would ever buy another one again if they only last a little more than a year, discount or not!

Keurig B44
2 Star Review

Strengths: No mess with coffee grinds

Weakness: Does not give more than 7 ozs.

While we understood it would only make 1 cup of coffee at a time, it really wasn't giving us a full cup which we consider to be an 8 oz cup. We also thought that the side reservoir of 48 ozs was a really good idea, especially if you like more than 1 cup of coffee in the morning. What we didn't like about this coffee maker was that there is an internal reservoir which never empties. If you do not use the appliance for a week you must purge the inner reservoir by using another 2-3 cups of water flushing through. This is a total waste of water. While we would use it every day, we have hard water in our area and mineral deposits would start to form. Next would be descaling with 48 ozs of vinegar and than flushing the inner tank with who knows how many ozs of water. It's just to much of a hassel. We probably will get the individual cup size and brew one at a time.
