This product has a drawback
4 Star Review   By Donald on Home Depot - Jun 4, 2013

This seems an excellent product overall, but the silverware rack is a very poor design - comes apart easily spilling silverware and difficult to fill.

make sure you buy a power cord
3 Star Review   By karthey on Home Depot - Jun 4, 2013

We bought this dishwasher and when we were finally ready to get it all hooked up we realized there was no power cord with it. I still have no idea how it works because we had to go onto amazon to order the cord an we are still waiting for it. You would think for as much as you spend it would be included.

Very quiet and cleans like a charm
5 Star Review   By Annie on Home Depot - May 15, 2013

I finally replaced my old, nonfunctional Whirlpool dishwasher and I'm glad I did. The new unit churns quietly and with the use of the suggested Rinse Aid my glasses and dishes are spotless. I definitely like having the choice of using the one hour wash as well as the overnight option. Because I'm used to having the utensils rack by the door, that feature did not bother me. Having the separate slots to insert the spoons and forks and knives was a nice added feature, even though some of my utensils don't fit the slots well. I look forward to using and enjoying this dishwasher for years to come.

Has several options
5 Star Review   By Mamaw on Home Depot - May 14, 2013

We're pretty pleased with this dishwasher. It is very roomy inside and can fit quite a bit more than my previous dishwasher. It does sound different than my old one but, overall, is fairly quiet. Looks really nice as well.

Lots of space - miss older model "shelf basket" for small things
5 Star Review   By Ohwhattamom on Home Depot - May 14, 2013

See my photo - you'll see how I use the "new" basket - not for utensils! I kept my old basket for utensils! Using the eco wash setting, the cycle is not any longer than our old machine. But it is much quieter - not silent, which is fine; it's plenty quiet for our kitchen which is open to the dining room. I also like that they kept the fold-up shelves on the top rack - handy for doubling up and also to keep light items from flipping. I do still terribly miss the "shelf basket" that used to be in front of the top rack; you could put anything from utensils to 2 oz tupperware containers and small tops in there and not lose them.... Overall a versatile, reliable machine.

Great dishwasher and Home Depot had the best price
4 Star Review   By tony8gj on Home Depot - May 5, 2013

I first shopped for a replacement to my 1 yr old dishwasher at Sears and Lowes for a dishwasher - Sears wanted $150 to install and Lowes wanted $120 to install. Pretty ridiciulous given that the there was an existing water shutoff and outlet. I went online to Home Depot, read the reviews for this WDF530PAYM dishwasher and bought online. Delivery was within 5 business days and the delivery crew were polite and efficient. The dishwasher is quiet, cleans well and the monochrome stainless steel looks great. Only negative is that the dishwasher settings are not retained on each new wash: I have to keep selecting Eco for the Heat Dry. Buy from Home Depot - in my experience you cannot go wrong and HD realizes you cannot milk customers for a ridiculously easy installation. Sears, Lowes - you've lost my business for now.

Amazing performace!
5 Star Review   By Andrey on Home Depot - Apr 9, 2013

Got this dishwasher online, based on the reviews written by other buyers...I was hesitant to order without even seeing it; however, decided to take my chances. Have had for over three weeks now. It was delivered within 3 days and installed by true professionals. Installation took about 35-40 mins; delivery/installation staff were extremely helpful...The dishwasher alone changed the look of an entire kitchen... The dishwasher is extremely quiet and highly efficient...Based on the price and what you get in terms of the product quality, this is probably the best bid...

Does the job well at a good price
5 Star Review   By Twongo on Home Depot - Mar 9, 2013

I was looking for a dishwasher around $400 or $500. This model has an overnight mode which is mostly when we run it. It seems to let the dishes soak more than a normal cycle. It works great, especially if you use the rinse aid. We're very satisfied with this model. We're thinking of replacing the range and refrigerator soon. We'll certainly consider Whirlpool for those purchases as well.

Good features and runs quietly but like everything these days...feels cheap and plastic made in China like!!
4 Star Review   By Expat on Home Depot - Jan 29, 2013

Was looking for a good 500-600$ dishwasher with a stainless front and this is what fit in my budget and had the features. Runs quietly and looks great but it is 2013 and everything feels cheap and plastic. Door is plastic with a metal panel and flexes more than a 550$ dishwasher should. Even the closing latch is plastic and feels like it will break within the first year. I guess I need to drop 1k on a dishwasher to feel like its sturdy and not plastic china and china made!

Quiet and Spacious
5 Star Review   By lmgtlg on Home Depot - Jan 26, 2013

This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever heard. The racks don't have that washing pillar in it so you have a lot of rack space. I don't have a problem getting big pans in, there is plenty of room between racks. It cleans great. Even tough messes. I'm very impressed.

Works decent enough but nothing special
3 Star Review   By RellyRx on Home Depot - Jan 24, 2013

My biggest complaint with this washer is that the tines in the rack (especially on the bottom) are too close together and I am not able to load it as efficiently and put as many dishes into it as I would like to. Larger items, like bowls, are very hard to fit anywhere in the bottom rack other than along the sides and that is where I put baking dishes and small pots so there really isn't any adequate room for bowls. There are too many spaces for plates and not enough space for other items. As far as I can figure, there is no way to turn off the drying feature, which doesn't work well and is a waste of energy since I still need to dry the dishes by hand. It seems to clean well enough, but I think it would clean better if I were able to better arrange the dishes, which I cannot, due to the limitations of the spacing of the tines in the rack. I will be looking into whether or not I can purchase a rack separately that might fit from another model (perhaps one with a pot scrubbing feature?) where the tines are spaced further apart or there are less of them.

Very nice
5 Star Review   By Diane on Home Depot - Jan 20, 2013

Purchased this during a remodel. Extremely quiet, silverware holder can be moved but we haven't experienced the problems I've seen listed (knives not fitting under soap dispenser) and we purchased a new set with longer "European blade/handle). Had 2 large holiday parties and all the dishes fit and came out spotless; the dishes can tip inward if you don't put them in straight. Lots of space for cup/glasses - sometimes the tops hold a little water but I just dry them off. I do use the finishing liguid and am very happy and we have minerally water. Haven't tried the eco friendly set yet, but would definitely buy again.

I almost went crazy looking!
5 Star Review   By Chris on Home Depot - Jan 10, 2013

So if your like me you read every single review, you compare discounts from retailers you look for coupon codes and then you still cant make up your mind. I was between this model and the model below it. I lso got a matching convection over and French door refrigerator so I waned to make sure my dishwasher matched and didn't look cheap. I got a good deal and wow am I impressed. Our old Amana dishwasher did the job but wow was it loud and this NEW WHIRLPOOL Dishwasher you can hardly hear it on. I see it also has the separate spray arm for the top rack. I was just used to never putting anything I wanted clean in the top rack so I feel I have double my space as compared to what I used to consider a full load. The silverware tray in the door takes some getting used to .. I saved the tray from the old dishwasher and stuck it in the bottom rack anyway. The only downside is if you run it empty then it is louder then if you run it full. But hey the only time I ran it empty is when the man set it up and AS far as HOME DEPOT Installation was all I can say is 100% satisfied. A great professional and tradesman delivered installed and set it up. The dishwasher soap cup is made to hold cubes and it will not let you put too much detergent in or it wont shut. It is telling you HEY YOU DONT NEED THAT MUCH! I have yet to find anything come out unclean. For the record this is the first dishwasher I ever bought that did not come with sample packets of cascade and jet-dri . Just an observation nothing is free anymore! Overall I couldn't be happier and couldn't have made a better choice for the money

Overall, a great dishwasher. Having the silverware tray in the door took some getting used to but, overall, the machine is quiet and cleans well.

Good dishwasher
5 Star Review   By harmar on Home Depot - Dec 9, 2012

I am getting used to this after 2 months. At first I was not that excited about it. 1. The silverware container goes on the door and is small. It can go inside also but I am now used to it on the door and like it because I have more room. 2. It didn't get the dishes dry until I started using the rinse aid. It came with a coupon for a free bottle. Unbelievably it made a huge difference. It has a very flexible interior design and allows lots of options for loading. It has taken some time to get used to. I nearly always run it very full and on heavy / heat dry. I have no problem with things not coming out clean. It is also quiet.

Looks good and does a a squeeky clean job
4 Star Review   By Hoss on Home Depot - Nov 20, 2012

It does a great job washing the dishes but it would help if they could design another better tray that you put the silverware in. The holes you put them in are to small.

It's almost too quiet
4 Star Review   By MikeS on Home Depot - Nov 13, 2012

It took my wife a while to get used to how quiet the dishwasher was and she would keep opening it mid-cycle. My only gripe is the silverware slots are too small for my crate and barrel silverware and only half fit. I was also surprised by the length of the energy efficient wash cycles. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Excellent appliance
5 Star Review   By Bar10dah on Home Depot - Oct 16, 2012

This dishwasher is awesome! I couldn't believe how quiet it was when I ran it the first time. It's very easy to operate, and has some great features like the overnight button. I would recommend this particular one to anyone asking my opinion. It was easy to install as well. My only drawback is the plastic connector valve for the water supply. Other than that I saw no other issues. Another thing I was very pleased with was how well the dishwasher matched my other appliances. I of course searched before my purchase and it matches more than I had thought.

Works fine and easy to operate, quiet.
4 Star Review   By MG1245 on Home Depot - Oct 9, 2012

I didn't see in person ordered on line, only complaint and I wouldn't have known just by looking at is my big plates can't fit next to each other in the rack only one behind the other with a smaller plate on the side. Silverware holder is in the door but works fine....cleans well and doesn't take long to run on a normal cycle with eco heat dry. Quiet.
