Countertop Dishwasher-Small & Mighty
4 Star Review   By jersey30 on Home Depot - May 14, 2013

I received this item and was excited because it fit perfectly where I needed it to fit and was easy to install. Because I have very limited space I enjoyed the design and ease of use. The problem however was that while it seems the features would have fit my needs, the quality of the components are a bit flimsy. The back fittings fell apart after a few uses and kept leaking during the cycle so I had to put some elbow grease into it and really fit them tightly and add some washers to make it water tight. I should have been more suspicious when opening the item and noticed water was already in the system as it appeared that it might have been a returned/refurbished item from someone else but it did do the job. Home depot in my experiences has always stood behind their products so for that I will continue buying their products and will rest assured that should I have problems they will help me resolve them. This brand however is not one I would recommend for purchase if you do have the space and can accommodate a more durable machine.

Very happy after a month
4 Star Review   By ldydreamer on Home Depot - May 4, 2013

We've had ours over a month now. We both love to cook, but were very unhappy with washing dishes by hand as our small kitchen did not have a dishwasher. Our cabinets are slightly too low for the dishwasher to sit on the counter close to the sink, so we had to put it on our breakfast bar near the sink and run the hose. I was worried that having it out that far into our living space would be noisy, but not the case! Very quiet and efficient. The manual is impossible, but common sense sets it up just fine. Still can't figure out some of the buttons, but it works anyway! We saw a video on YouTube about installing it under the sink. I am thinking we will eventually do that so we won't even have to give up counter space. All in all, VERY happy and will be recommending this. I'm hoping after a year or so to be able to say the same thing.

Overall perfect for me
4 Star Review   By Casey on Home Depot - Apr 29, 2013

I ordered this about three weeks ago and I put it to work as soon as it was installed. I have never installed anything and with my very weird faucet I needed help from my grandfather. But he did it in minutes and said it was simple and would have been easier with a normal faucet. I had an entire counter and sink of dishes and it took a couple days to get them all clean but it worked perfect! I use a lot of Tupperware for work and I was worried it wouldnt clean them well like a few of the reviews said but as soon as I put rinse aid in as well as the dish soap it worked great. Just rinse off and put it in and it comes out great! And it gets rid of the smell the plastic holds which I could never do by hand washing. It held a pot, pan and a small pot, plus the lids and they all came out perfect! It looks tiny but holds quiet a bit if you know how to put them in there. My big plates have to be tilted but they still come out clean. I put mine where a normal size dishwasher would go but on a makeshift stand (until I can make one). It fit great and I cut a whole in the top of the counter to feet the connector through to get it to the sink. I dont have a lot of counter space so this was the perfect solution. (see pictures for a better idea.) I think this is PERFECT for a one or two person home. And if you use it the way it says then it works amazing for the price. The only thing I don't like is that it is pretty hard to see when the rinse aid is full/empty. The little tiny window isn't big enough to see the liquid like it says in the instructions. So I fill it slowly and have to figure it out that way. Also if I start seeing spots on my glasses I know I need to refill it. It might bother someone but not really a big deal for me.

Pretty good
4 Star Review   By FiLl on Home Depot - Apr 13, 2013

I've had it for a few weeks. Easy to hook up. Simple to run. A timer display would have been nice, otherwise you have to memorize the chart of the different wash cycles. It doesn't wash tupperware very well, but it will wash a fully pack load of dishes great.

Not as easy as I thought, but overall worth it.
4 Star Review   By Kelsh on Home Depot - Mar 7, 2013

Bought this about 5 months ago. Did a lot of homework before buying & was convinced this was the best mix of great price & quality. Overall I still think this is a great product but maybe I was too hopeful on how clean it gets dishes. A few reviews stated they really didn't "prewash" the dishes, but I found myself rewashing some of the items that I didn't. Not super caked on stuff either- like residue from a cup of black tea, or film on plastic storage containers. Tried switching types of detergent, tried liquid, powder, and most recently the tablets. Tablets have been the best so far. It really is a quiet as it claims. I've got pets & one spooks pretty easy, the only time she is bothered is when the water is draining out of it. Our water bill has gone up a little bit, not a terrible amount. I'd say it worth the convenience. Have not used all the settings yet, the most used is the "two plates" & the "three plates" setting which translates roughly to a light wash & a normal wash I think. Its just like a regular dishwasher for the fact that you have to get creative in loading at times :) All in all its great & I love it. I think I just got my expectations up too high after reading all the amazing reviews. This is a really great dishwasher, and is great for my family of two. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to remove the filter/food trap. The manual isn't all inclusive, but it gets the main points across. I'm "slighter" person and I'm able to move it & lift it if needed. If you can lift a medium large dog or a 50lb kid then you'll have little trouble with this thing. I know this doesn't seem like a great review- but I am happy with this product & would recommend this gladly to friends &/or family.

5 Star Review   By MrShatner on Home Depot - Mar 6, 2013

I live in a 37 year old house with limited countertop space and almost no place to install a full sized dishwasher. This perfect on top of the counter and under the upper cabinets. VERY quiet!!! Cycles are a lot longer than I expected, but I guess because the compact size, it may take longer for a good clean. Not a deal breaker! We cook for a family of 5 daily. This washer holds and cleans all the dishes for the entire day. It will even clean a chili pot that sat on the counter overnight! A great buy!!!

5 Star Review   By tb733 on Home Depot - Feb 7, 2013

I placed a review on 28 May,2011. An update.. Washer just finished a load. Since the purfchase, over 200 washes and doing fine. I rely on reviews when researching for a purchase. Thats why I came back to post. Since I had 2 other types of countertops that failed after a year or so, I highly recomend this machine.

Excellent so far
5 Star Review   Home Depot

It was packaged very well. Very easy install. Make sure you have clearance under your cabinet. (FYI-if you need another 1/4" to make it fit and you can't raise your cabinet, you can cut off the 4- 1/4" long feet under dishwasher- which would void warranty I'm sure but didnot effect operation at all.) I was glad the faucet adapter worked on my KOHLERForte Single-Hole 1 Handle Low-Arc new faucet. It does an excellent job of cleaning and drying the dishes. Thanks to other reviews of using a soap with built in rinse aid helped and when it's done just leave door ajar 2" or so and dishes will be dry in 15 minutes or so. For 4 people I run it at the end of the day.

Just what I had hoped for. Looks nice, does a great job on the dishes and even though it doesn't have a heated dry cycle, our water gets hot enough that if you leave the door shut, the dishes are dry when you taken them out. Very happy with this purchase.

Can't use it if you can't hook it up!
1 Star Review   By Irritated on Home Depot - Jan 3, 2013

Product is designed for faucet hook up only! I paid a lot for my faucet and am not going to replace it just to hook this boat anchor to it. Fittings are proprietary to the quick connect only and will not fit any adapters on the market. Do not think you can hook up to the water line and drain line separate unless you plan on cutting off the end of the lines and jerry rigging something. Oh, the manufacturer is clueless on how to fix this issue, don't bother.

Ok product, not for me...
3 Star Review   By SVlav on Home Depot - Dec 11, 2012

Setup was easy and quick. The washer did an average job of cleaning. To be fair, we only used the machine once and decided that it wasn't for us. The wash left spots and a film on the dishes. The instructions stated that we should adjust some settings in order to get rid of the film, but we didn't really want to try it, so I suppose that's on us. Also, space for dishes is very limited.

2nd one works great!
5 Star Review   By grifmx on Home Depot - Oct 24, 2012

needed to replace old Fisher Paykel drawer dishwasher that I paid an arm and a leg for. Very happy to learn of these portable units about the same size. 1st one went thru wash cycle fine then leaked all over the floor on the rinse cycle. Quickly returned it to Home Depot and purchased another one - giving them a chance and every company can have a lemon. 2nd one worked like a charm and it washes dishes BETTER than the $700 Fisher Paykel it replaced! Great for a family of 4. Run it every night. Hooked it up permanently where the FP used to be. mission accomplished!

5 Star Review   By Dangeltoby on Home Depot - Sep 24, 2012

I hate doing dishes and I hate a dirty kitchen. Living with a small kitchen, this was the answer to my dreams. It sits on my counter, although a little big for the space, it's worth every inch. It looks great, but best of all it gets my dishes sparkling clean!! Very easy to use.

Works just like a full size dishwasher
5 Star Review   By SingleSuperDad on Home Depot - Sep 18, 2012

I had this unit up and running in 10 min. So far so good. I like the fact that it uses cold water from the fauset and heats it with its own heating elements, so washing dishes doesn't drain my hot water heater. Follow the directions and your dishes will be clean!! Perfect for anyone in a rental or those who have tiny kitchens.

Other than needing a caddy for the hoses I can't think of a negitive thing to say. This is a great product for a small place.
5 Star Review   By Ghad on Home Depot - Jun 15, 2012

Small and compact but cleans like a full size washer. The manual is badly translated and a bit vague. If you've had a dishwasher before it won't be a problem. It uses little water and setting it up was too easy. A must have for singles or a couple without kids. Runs quietly which I really enjoy.

The box was intimadating and added several pounds, but once I had the unit unboxed it was easy to handle. It does a great job and is quieter than the full size unit I had to replace. I haven't found a problem it hasn't been able to clean. I am very pleased with the price and the quality.

Good for what it is.
4 Star Review   By lanczos on Home Depot - Jan 17, 2012

First, know that this is a small capacity dishwasher or you will be disappointed. It can not hold our dinner plates, but otherwise, holds quite a bit when carefully (and properly) loaded. Had an issue with the sprayer arm. I took out the basket, then the filter and floor mesh, and pushed on the steel floor until something snapped in place. Now, I do NOT recommend that others who have this issue do that, I could have easily broken something, but I believe there is something that pops out in shipping that causes the arm to be higher than designed. At first the results were so-so, not horrible, but not great either. After the "fix" it seems to clean very well. Cleaned out a peanut butter jar. Ours came with a hanging tablet container and a standard Finish brand tablet with the ball seemed to work well. Fairly quiet and does not seem to use much water, even with several cycles. Not a fan of the hookup, even though it is simple. I added separate hot water only faucet to our sink for a more semi-permanent hookup, use the internet for a single line faucet. I was well aware what this was heading in and was not disappointed.

Untested - it didn't fit.
2 Star Review   By Mother on Home Depot - Jan 10, 2012

Unfortunately, the dishwasher was too tall to fit under the cabinets on the kitchen counter and the quality seemed less than I expected. The material was plastic rather than metal - so I took it back. Have no idea if it would have worked or not!

This product has a poorly constructed inside rack.
1 Star Review   By D8D8 on Home Depot - Nov 29, 2011

This product has a poorly constructed inside rack. The spaces on the dish rack are too largely spaced that a mug can tip into it and it hits the lower spraying arm. If I could have seen this product in person I would not have purchased it. There wasn't much to see of it on line either.

Simple, Solid, Quiet
5 Star Review   By MiaBee on Home Depot - Nov 11, 2011

I've had this counter top dishwasher for about a month. Our kitchen is SO much more tidy! It's a remarkably quiet, simple, well-built dishwasher, and the dishes actually do get clean. I spend half the effort with this than I did washing dishes by hand. I have varied sizes of near-10-inch plates, and I do have to tip some a little. It's a snug fit, but kind of a fun puzzle to figure out appropriate places for my odd-sized dishes. We get a normal day's load in it (for a family of two adults and a pre-schooler). I still have to wash my pasta strainer and mixing bowls by hand, so keep a dish rack around for larger items. I did have to replace the faucet adapter when I installed it (threads were stripped), but that cost one trip to the store and a dollar. Read the directions carefully, get the right detergent, and you will likely be happy with this.

update from tb733
5 Star Review   By tb733 on Home Depot - Nov 5, 2011

As stated in first summary I would post in again in 6 mths. This is the BEST counter top dishwasher I have ever used. After 2 failed machines, I found this washer humming right along as described. After over 60 washes it is still quite and performs great. The exterior is easily wiped clean and interior is larger than side controlled programs. I still can't figure out how to get 6 dish placements but who cares.

Works with only some faucets
1 Star Review   By Erik on Home Depot - Oct 29, 2011

The alleged "quick and easy" installation is NOT true. The various hoses and whatever pieces are supposed to be hooked up to your faucet work only with some types of faucets. So be prepared for hours of frustration, multiple trips to the hardware store, etc. Of course, the installation booklet contains no manufacturer information at all so you're on your own.

Stainless steel??
1 Star Review   By Bdub on Home Depot - Oct 5, 2011

The dishwasher seemed to work well, but had a leak where a piece of plastic broke off in shipping. Drained all over the counter! The dishwasher claims stainless steel, but it appears to be a piece of sheet metal on the shell of the dishwasher that has been painted grey! Seemed to be a cheap imitation of stainless steel! It did not disolve the plastic coating of a cascade action pac! Even though, I was disappointed in the color, and the performance in using actions pacs, the the dishwasher still washed my dishes very well

Works great.
4 Star Review   By satisified on Home Depot - Jul 23, 2011

I was somewhat apprehensive about buying this product, but after using it a few times I am pleased to say it works much better than I thought it would. Just the right size for my household.

So far outstanding
4 Star Review   By Tb733 on Home Depot - May 28, 2011

Used it 5 times in a week. Worked great. Outstanding feature is the quiteness when operating and the controls in the door, giving more interior room. This is the 3rd counter top I have purchased in 7 yrs. The 1st 2 were disapointing as they malfuntioned or leaked after a year or so. Unless you know how they get fifteen clowns in a VW bug it is impossible to get six place settings inside. However it does have more room than models with the controls on a side panel. Exterior is easy to clean and features inside surpass others I have used (i.e. automatic dispenser for soap and spot remover.) Also two filter systems is a plus. If this washer continues to perform as it has for the next 6 mths I will write another review with 5 stars.
