This dishwasher was a closeout that was deeply discounted. I am very happy with its style and cleaning performance.

Easy install and clean look
4 Star Review   By TimL on Home Depot - Jun 11, 2012

I have not used the machine much yet but on the first two washes, it did clean the dishes. It did not leak. It was quiet (you can hear that it is running but it does not drown out a conversation in the room). It has very clean styling. These are three advantages over the >25yr old unit it replaced. At this point, I have no regrets. After installing the unit, I was concerned that I would not be able to operate the controls as they are on top of the door and my fingers are too big to fit in to push them. Never fear. You can set the cycle, push start, close the door and away it runs.

Excellent Value for the Product
5 Star Review   By CarlieKathleen on Home Depot - Jun 7, 2012

I have only had this dishwasher for a couple of weeks but it has far surpassed my expectations. This was the least expensive dishwasher and since I have had it, it has worked fabulously. It isn't the quietest, but it is a LOT quieter than my old dishwasher. Overall, it has been a great value and I have had no problems. I am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase.

Very nice dishwasher
4 Star Review   By WalterR on Home Depot - Jun 5, 2012

Much quieter than our old one, but not as quiet as I was hoping it was. Light weight, easy to get into the house. Includes the drain hose. The "required adapter" for Maytag is a 90 deg converter from something like a water hose outlet (what the dishwasher has), to a standard 3/8 inch compression fitting. Yes, it really is required, you have to buy it, but it's only about 3 dollars. The "install kit" has a nice 6 foot steel braided water line and a couple plumbing adapters. I had to re-use a couple inch long section of my old copper 3/8 tubing, since my hot water supply uses a flare fitting instead of a compression fitting, but otherwise, the plumbing was pretty simple. The guy that wrote the manual should be smacked for sending me on a wild goose chase looking for a 7/8 inch "strain relief". What it doesn't tell you is a standard 1/2 inch conduit knockout measures 7/8 inch. The proper part on Home Depot's website is titled "Halex 3/8 in. Twin Screw Clamp Connectors". At the store you can get a bag of 5 of them for $1.50. You need one of these to attach the electrical line and prevent it from pulling loose. Apparently 1/2 inch conduit has an internal diameter of 1/2 inch, and the external diameter fits nicely in a 7/8 in diameter hole. Kinda like a 2x4 isn't actually 2 inches by 4 inches. Overall a nice dishwasher and my wife seems very pleased, which makes me pleased.

4 Star Review   By Prince0407 on Home Depot - Jun 5, 2012

Purchase 5/03/12. I'm happy with the product a little noisy then I expect but not as loud as my old diswhaser. The look is good the inside is big and a lot of space for dishing and the option to remove racks for large pots and pans.

Great Purchase!
5 Star Review   By ArieATL on Home Depot - May 29, 2012

This dishwasher hasn't given me any problems at all, as of yet. It's beautiful, with plenty of cycles and options. It cleans really well and does exactly what the description says it can do. I didn't purchase this because of its "quiet" operation...so it is a little noisy. But I don't mind it so much since it was on sale, beautiful to look at, and it was a Maytag. I recommend!

Meh..
3 Star Review   By NWComsumer on Home Depot - May 24, 2012

I must first start by showing some high praise for the folks who delivered this appliance. They were not only early, but ran to the door and back to their truck, covered everything in advance and offered to move things into place. They made me exhausted just watching them. Won't share their names but they are truly great people..... That being said, it's a dishwasher and only gets three stars for the appearance of the stainless. It kind of does what it's 25 year old replacement did but not as well... The positives are; - It installed relatively easily, as compared to any current dishwasher. - It looks good installed. Stainless is of decent quality. My disappointments are; - Does not appear to wash anywhere as complete as the 25 year old replacement. - A heated dry doesn't actually dry anything. - Somewhat noisy compared to it's 5 year old sibling at work. - Odd design of silverware baskets. (Might just be me over thinking this one..) but stuff doesn't fit or get clean as a result. - Rinse only cycle doesn't appear to drain completely. I'm being super cynical here but I honestly expected a lot more. But I'll deal with it.. And learn next time..

Stoked on my purchase, and at a great price!
4 Star Review   By Surfslayer on Home Depot - May 1, 2012

I've only had this dishwasher less than a week, so I didn't give it 5 stars, but so far it has done what it is supposed to do...clean/wash dishes. I literally watched sales and prices for about 4 months, and finally pulled the trigger on this dishwasher. The dishwasher we replaced left spots, and dishes never looked clean. With this dishwasher it has been night and day compared to the old dishwasher...No spots or streaks. I have yet used a dishwasher with a perfect rack system and this one is no different. It serves it's purpose, and I like that the racks are nylon, and the upper rack is adjustable. I also like the utensil baskets, with removable covers. I like the covers because they have holes where you can put utensils where they are spaced out. I opted to take on the task of installing it myself. It wasn't too hard, it just took time to figure out what I was doing (I Googled alot). It took me about 2 hours to disconnect and remove the old one, and about 2.5-3 hours to install this one(2 hoses, and 3 wires). I could probably do it in half the time now that I know what I'm doing. If your looking for a mid range dishwasher at a low range price I would recommend this one. I will try to update as time goes by...

Not what I expected from Matag
1 Star Review   By Chris on Home Depot - Feb 12, 2012

Need to run the maximum cleaning cycle to get the dishes clean which takes up to two hours. Unit is noisy, and the recommended parts for connection were poor quality and not necessary.

3 Star Review   By mike on Home Depot - Jan 17, 2012

Glad I didn't spend more
5 Star Review   By Laura on Home Depot - Jan 5, 2012

After having a 25 year old dishwasher that I had to run at night so it didn't drown out conversation and had to prewash the dishes before they went in, my expectations were simple: a quiet dishwasher that would clean dirty dishes. I have been very pleased. It is very quiet; not silent but very quiet. And it will actually clean a casserole dish with baked on food! I wanted to stay toward the lower end of the price range and so far have no regrets.

DOES NOT DRY!! Noisy
2 Star Review   By Dave on Home Depot - Jan 1, 2012

NOT as good as the 15 yr old dishwasher we replaced. I installed it myself. Not too difficult. Looks fine from the outside, BUT it is noisy. I even packed extra insulation in the cavity and it is still noisy. Even using the heated dry cycle the dishes are still wet. Because the controls are hidden on the top edge of the washer (under the countertop) you can't tell when the cycle is completed and kids keep opening it mid cycle. It feels light and cheap.

A good dishwasher for the money
4 Star Review   By Danny on Home Depot - Dec 27, 2011

I bought this dishwasher when i re-did my kitchen and it is excellent. It is not the quietest one but i knew that when i bought it. Installation was easy and it looks great installed. If you dont mind that it is a little loud, then this is a great dishwasher for the money.

Poor Rack Design
2 Star Review   By Rlandon on Home Depot - Dec 26, 2011

I bought this to replace my fairly new Whirlpool (white) and the rack design is horrible. The lower rack does not provide enough space for larger bowls to fit. I regret this purchase and will contact HD about a return for another model to match the other stainless Maytag appliances we purchased. The price was right online and the local store did not have available to view, so this purchase was made sight unseen.

Extremely low quality control - horrible customer service - AVOID!!!
1 Star Review   By Ernani99 on Home Depot - Dec 24, 2011

Machine arrived with a crucial part [that should have been installed in the machine in factory] missing. No way to connect and operate. Customer service tried to charge for it and then would NOT expedite shipping. Part arrived late and I needed another installation team to come and assemble.Customer service would not take care of it, and didn't even apologize. Control board cover was already peeling of before even installed. Never got the thing to work and returned it to Home Depot for full credit. Home Depot store manager was ultra professional about it. Altogether, this machine made for a horrible shopping experience and I would NEVER touch a Maytag or Whirlpool item again [Maytag was bought by Whirlpool and it is their customer service].

So far so good
5 Star Review   By LeoP on Home Depot - Dec 22, 2011

I've only had this machine for a week but it is much quieter and washes much better than the one I replaced. It looks great and seems to be constructed well. The installation only took me about 15 minutes but I already had hookups in place from the previous machine. The instructions were easy to understand and adjusting the level of the machine was simple as well. The delivery team was on-time and professional. The experience has been great so far and I recommend purchasing this machine

Happy with my purchase
5 Star Review   By vr4gt on Home Depot - Dec 20, 2011

Got this dishwasher on black friday weekend with $200 off. Had to wait until mid Dec to get the free delivery and haul away but it was worth the wait. I was called 30 minutes before my delivery time window of 10 - 2 pm and they rang my doorbell at 10 am sharp. Did the install myself and luckly I remembered to remove my power cord and water line from the old dishwasher as these are not inculded with the new one. Haven't had the chance to test it's cleaning abilities but I'm sure it's going to do a decent job.

Looks great, but...
3 Star Review   By Jason on Home Depot - Dec 20, 2011

This dishwasher looks very nice, esp. considering I got a holiday deal on it for just $400 or so. Nice profile and clean, streamlined appearance. However... In addition to a long wash cycle, it's drying ability is terrible. Even with the 'hi temp' heating function, we still have to hand dry pretty much the entire top rack, which kind of stinks given that's the dishwasher's job, right? Not sure if I would get this again. If you don't mind drying your own dishes, then this would be fine. If you expect to open the washer and put your stuff away immediately, then look elsewhere.

4 Star Review   By Rsss4u on Home Depot - Dec 13, 2011

You get what you pay for
3 Star Review   By BoomerDT on Home Depot - Dec 13, 2011

The dishwasher works great. But with dishwashers... you get what you pay for. It you expect it to be quiet - it is not. But it cleans dishes great and fits larger dishes in the bottom rack nicely! Does the noise bother me? No because it's not any noisier than my last one was. Only complaint: The bottom rack acts like it's spring loaded. If you let it go as it's retracting, it will bang loudly against the back of the dishwasher.

We love it!!!
5 Star Review   By cowgrl66 on Home Depot - Dec 11, 2011

This is a really nice dishwasher for the money. I love the angled top rack because I am able to get big pans in now. Plenty of room and very efficient. Does a great job getting things clean. No greasy film left on anything. We rinse all dishes prior to loading so there is nothing dried on by the time we run it. I especially love the delayed start option. I set it to run after we go to bed so dishes are clean and ready to be unloaded in the morning. Noise is not a problem with this one, but if you are in an apartment or really small house I would recommend running at night or while you are at work with any dishwasher. We have only had it about 2 weeks but so far we are really impressed!!!

cleans dishes, leaks water out front
4 Star Review   By Seriously on Home Depot - Dec 6, 2011

This was good value for the money and it matches our kitchen great. However, the side effect we are dealing with it water that drips down the left hand side of the front. It appears to be condensation from the heat vent at the top hitting the bottom of our granite counter tops. Hot air on cold rock means water droplets that roll down the side of our machines face and accumulates on the hard wood floors. We just replaced our machine because the last one leaked water causing us to have to replace our kitchen floor. So, yes, I am a little gun shy. We mitigate this issue with a hand towel on the floor when we do dishes. Could be worse.

Not quite as easy as you think!
4 Star Review   By Missy on Home Depot - Nov 30, 2011

My husband and I just bought this dishwasher to replace the one that's been in our house for the last 34 years! It just ran it's first load and I can't believe how quiet it is! I do need to say this though, if you think you can install it yourself (unless you actually know how to do electrical) don't!! We thought this would be easy to install. Turns out, there is NO power cord, you have to put one on it yourself and it doesn't come with one. There is also NO water line that comes with it. I was so glad that my dad was around to help me and he made the whole thing look easy! Next time though, I'll pay the extra $50 to have home depot install it for me. Other than that minor? problem, I love this dishwasher! We also bought the 4 year extended warrenty just in case.

clean style and welll built
4 Star Review   By twiss on Home Depot - Nov 27, 2011

product is well made and works like it should, althought all the parts to install it are not there. it is standard to provid your own power cord and water line; yet the water supply line must use garden hose thread adaptor, which is not standard on any other dishwashers. it is also made by kenmore / wirlpool, with a maytag name on it.

This product was definitely not worth the price
1 Star Review   By DissatisfiedCustomer on Home Depot - Nov 22, 2011

This dishwasher was used about three months and a component broke. Maytag said it was considered a factory defect, but I would have to pay for the service call and to replace the part. I definitely would not recommend this dishwasher to anyone.

Looks Great and a lot of room
5 Star Review   By DavidA on Home Depot - Nov 12, 2011

I have had this for a few months now and I have no complaints at all. I love the hidden controls even though that wasn't one of the big decision makers in purchasing it. It does give it a very clean look though. It cleans really well and seems to have a lot more room inside than my old dish washer. I have noticed that griddles and pans that wouldn't fit in my old machine, fit with plenty of room in this one. One note I would make is that when purchasing it online, it said that a specific part was needed for install that had to be purchased separately and it actually wasn't needed. This is the second time this has happened with Home Depot where they said something was needed and it actually wasn't. I know that I can take it back but what a hassle for 20 bucks.

Good then Bad
1 Star Review   By Janet on Home Depot - Oct 18, 2011

I thought this was a great dishwasher until I moved my couch and found wet carpet - problem was determined to be a factory defect and was easily fixed. Unfortunately now I'm having to take off work to get estimates and filling out manufacturer claim forms. What a hassel this has turned out to be. If you buy this dishwasher, tell the installer not to put the kickplate in so you can look underneath it for the first month to be sure it doesn't start leaking.

Great dishwasher at a great price!
5 Star Review   By DCinWisconsin on Home Depot - Sep 15, 2011

Had this dishwasher delivered and I was able to install it myself. It is very quiet and does an excellent job of cleaning the dishes. I especially like the 2-4-6 hour delay feature. The two removable silverware baskets are handy, you can place them in several spots in the bottom rack. Received a great internet only price with free shipping that I couldn't pass up.

excellent dishwasher
5 Star Review   By jane on Home Depot - Sep 13, 2011

I bought this only two weeks ago and i am in love with it. gets even the dirtiest dishes clean without soaking or cleaning beforehand. it is so quiet that you hardley know it is on. I used to have to turn up the sound on the tv whenever i washed dishes before and now I can leave the volume low and enjoy the show while my dishes are getting spotless! It is smaller than my last dishwasher however you can no fit more pots and pans with ease. Also a great price and value for the money.

Dishwasher cleans best under heavy load, but was loud. After a brief investigation the sound barrier was not installed. Is now and sound is much better. Can talk in kitchen without stopping the dishwasher

Great dishwasher

I'm very pleased with this purchase. Dishes come out really clean and it is very roomy. A little bit loud, but I usually do dishes over night so no one really hears it.

Looks Great, Cleans Great!
5 Star Review   By Petey on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2011

It looks great because of the solid panel front. It's easy to clean the outside quickly. It works great because it does what it's suppose to do, clean the dishes. It is quiet and holds much more than my previous dishwasher and has many cleaning levels to choose from.

Good Price for a Great Looking Dishwasher
4 Star Review   By Sammy on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2011

Home Depot was great, from online order to delivery. Great price for a diswasher thats looks this great on the outside, love it!!!! The only reason I would give it a 4 instead of 5 star rating is because the quality of the inside doesn't add up to the quality of the outside. The interior just seems a little flimsy... But all in all great dishwasher for the price.

THE BEST DISHWASHER IN THE WORLD
4 Star Review   By Easy on Home Depot - Aug 31, 2011

The title is misleading but I figured it would get your attention. This is just a regular dishwasher that I bought because it was a stainless steel Maytag with hidden controls. Seems like the first full cycle we ran took almost 2 hours, but I was drinking so that might not be totally accurate... Overall noise level is nominal, it's not like I had to turn the TV up or anything. Install was easy. Had to get a normal 110v appliance cable (already had pre-wired outlet). Happy to report that it has not yet burnt my house down. If this dishwasher paid my bills for me, took my dogs for walks or mowed the grass it would then fall into the class of "best dishwasher in the world." However, all it does is get my dishes clean. No complaints.

Disappointed Overall
3 Star Review   By Tshopper on Home Depot - Aug 26, 2011

Our last dishwasher was another Maytag, and we had it for over 12 years. It cleaned great but the shelves were finally rusting, and there was a recall out on it. Rather than repair the old one, we decided to use the coupon Maytag offered to "upgrade." We thought we would be upgrading to newer and better, but frankly, our old dishwasher cleaned much better than this one. With the old dishwasher, we would quickly rinse dishes under the tap prior to loading, and all would come out clean. With this new washer we are having to hand wash before loading. Otherwise, 10-20% of the dishes need to be rewashed. This may be more related to the new "energy efficient" dishwashers operating differently from the old ones. The cycles run MUCH longer and apparently more gently. Gently might be nice, but what's the point if the dishes are not getting cleaned. There is no energy savings nor water savings if we are having to rewash. It seems the industry (government mandated?) has gone overboard with the energy and water efficiency business. I would also help if they put phosphates back into the detergents. The new enzyme detergents leave a white film on the glasses. We need some emphasis back on clean dishes. Maybe some other brands or models are doing a better job, but my research prior to the purchase did not seem to suggest so. Good luck.

Looks and works beautifully!
4 Star Review   By happymomma on Home Depot - Aug 8, 2011

I love the look of this machine. I matches very well with my other Maytag appliances that we purchased at the same time. This machine is ultra quiet. We did have a very small leak in the door the first test run we did but the leak seemed to correct itself and we have washed about 10 loads in the last 4 days that we have had it installed. I deducted 1 star because the length of time it takes to wash even a light load (on light wash) was really long. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product and WOULD recommend it to others.

Extremely quiet!
5 Star Review   By InTheFloridaSticks on Home Depot - Jul 30, 2011

I can't believe how quiet it is, compared to our old dishwasher. Now we don't have to crank up the TV after dinner. In fact, I have to put my ear right up to it to tell it's running. I also love the fact that it can get everything clean without having to pre-wash the dishes. I mean, if I have to scrub the food out, I might as well be hand washing, right? It does take longer than the old dishwasher, but I usually run it in the evening after dinner, so it's not a problem, especially if I know the dishes, pots and pans will be really clean! The sanitize feature is a nice touch too.

This dishwasher cleans much better than my old Frigidaire. It looks much nicer, too. It didn't fit as well in the space the old one was, but it's ok. It doesn't really dry the dishes, but I am just grateful that they always come out clean. Delivery and installation went smoothly and as scheduled.

Poor reliability and unacceptable Maytag service
1 Star Review   By lockenvar on Home Depot - Jul 25, 2011

I suppose delivery was indication of things to come. I had paid for an installation -when they got there they said that the tile work in the kitchen would need to be removed around the existing dishwasher to get it out and the new one in. Call and reschedule when that is done. Meanwhile they had disconnected my dishwasher already and were unwilling to reconnect it ---”we can’t be responsible for old equipment” I called in my handyman to do the tile demolition ...but no demolition was necessary, It took a few extra minutes, but he got the old one out and the new one in with the existing tile completely intact. Once installed the machine performance was so so. I found myself using the most intense settings to get dishes out that seemed really clean. The “soil sensor” feature didn’t seem to work at all Now roll the clock forward 16 months. Suddenly one day the machine is as dead as a door nail ---as if it had been unplugged. I called Maytag for service. When someone finally made it out to me he wants to work on my refrigerator because he only does refrigerators! Customer service is very apologetic but explains the reason must be that my serial number would seem to suggest that the machine is a microwave. I never tried cooking anything in it but that would explain why it didn’t wash dishes very well. They promised to get someone out the next day. This repair man called to say he is on his way but needs a credit card to bill the $129 service call fee before he will actually make the visit. I was outraged but once he got there I understood why. It needed a new circuit board --$220 plus his $129 for the visit. Thanks but no thanks, I will just buy a new dishwasher. Ah but you see, I have to pay the $129 anyway! OK OK just fix it ---”oh but I don’t have the part” I will need call around to my parts suppliers. Total actual time diagnosing the problem -2 minutes , actual time making the repair 10 minutes. Time to get someone there with the part in hand 9 days. And the replacement circuit board has a warranty --but for only 30 days! It is a nice looking (and by now rather expensive) piece of junk

No Installs
4 Star Review   By RNC27603 on Home Depot - Jul 24, 2011

The product is fine and functions as described. It looks fantastic. I can't tell if the auto sensors work or not. The only problem I had was with the install. Home Depot was running a special $49 + parts and that did persuade me to purchase from them. However, it doesn't cover much. If you have an L-shaped counter top, they won't do it. It doesn't matter that the dishwasher would still be fairly close to the sink. So, I had a dish washer sitting in the middle of my kitchen until I could figure it out myself and risk a possible leak or I could hire a plumber. Read the fine print on the specials, which I knew but wanted it to be true I guess.

Really cleans dishes.
5 Star Review   By larc on Home Depot - Jul 23, 2011

This machine cleans dishes well and runs pretty quiet. I had a really old dishwasher and had to "pre-wash" everything. I tried just rinsing off large stuff and putting in the washer, and even pans that i had to wash by hand before come out perfect. I love it.

Maytag Unreliable
1 Star Review   By nothappy on Home Depot - Jul 1, 2011

I bought this dishwasher for full price and it broke within the first 9 months of use and Maytag fixed it. The same control board (electronics) broke again 6 months later. The product was past the initial 1 year warranty so I was responsible for the labor and Maytag covered the parts. This part broke yet again and Maytag will have nothing to do with fixing it. They do not stand by their products. I have to buy a new dishwasher or continue to have this one fixed indefinitely.

Great dishwasher
4 Star Review   By dontdodishes on Home Depot - Apr 30, 2011

When I read the reviews for this dishwasher I was a little leary of purchasing it, but went ahaead because of the great deal and my past experience with Maytag appliances. It is a wonderful dishwasher. We don't always do our dishes right away and sometimes a few things can sit in the sink for a day or two. We have really put it to the test with baked on and hard to clean foods. It is fantastic at getting dishes clean! I have yet to find anything that can't be cleaned the first time through. My husband is a gourmet cook and believe me we have put it through some workouts. The only reason I gave it four stars is beccause it is not as roomy as our previous dishwasher. I love the tall tub below, but that means sacrificing room on the top rack. It is a beautiful machine and fairly quiet. I am so happy we went with this Maytag model.

5 Star Review   By kitties on Home Depot - Apr 30, 2011

After reading multiple reviews on every brand of dishwasher made, I decided to make the "centsible" choice & go with this sleek model of Maytag. My 1st choice had been Bosche but after reading an engineers' studies in Better Homes & Gardens I went with my Maytag. Yes. It is probably noisier than a Bosche but is Wayyyy more quiet than the older beater I had. Love the design. Also gave up a ss interior but decided when do I want to display the inside of my machine--Never!!! Save half your hard earned dollars & buy this model. You won't be unhappy

Worst Dishwasher!
1 Star Review   By jamieh2480 on Home Depot - Feb 2, 2011

My husband and I bought this dishwasher to upgrade to stainless steel and I am so disappointed in it. The dishwasher does not wash the dishes well and my glasses always come out still dirty. I DO use the rinse aid and it still does not help. We are going to try to take the dishwasher back and exchange for a better one. If you want a dishwasher to clean you dishes without you having to get them spotless clean before using it then DO NOT buy this one. It is horrible and only looks nice.

Excellent dishwasher
5 Star Review   By Alex4 on Home Depot - Jan 24, 2011

I have had this dishwasher for three weeks and I wanted to give it some time to see how well it worked, I have to say it works great and everything comes out clean. I have read some reviews that says it does not dry well and clean, I would try switching to a powder detergent and not a cheap brand and to use the rinse aid, I also wanted to comment on the drying problems some people have been having. I had a stainless steel interior dishwasher before and regardless if you use the drying feature or not it is not going to dry plastic. It will only dry items items made of glass and dishware.

1 Star Review   By TerryNewman on Home Depot - Jan 18, 2011

Wish I could return this product. Not anything remotely close to as advertised. HAS NOT, IS NOT, and WILL NOT clean your dishes. Especially if you are anticipating clean dishes on the top rack. Dishes that we have rinsed clean of any food residue come out looking like they were used by a boy scout troop that had not been fed for days and were offered only banana pudding as a meal. This after having a dependable GE dishwasher for over 10 years. Do not be fooled by the Maytag label. Piece of garbage and you are donating your $500.00 if you purchase this paperweight.

It looks great, but the control panel has shorted out twice in a yr and now the heating element is recalled. I wish I had read online about Maytag dishwashers before I made this purchase. Every DYI appliance repair forum has the same story, control panel buttons wont work...One repairman said that the problem is water getting into the control panel box. It seems the Maytag repairman isn't so lonely these days!

I love the sleek, stainless steel design; the hidden controls; the fact that it cleans AND dries my dishes perfectly; and it is quiet... although some reviewers said theirs was not quiet, it may having something to do with the insulation around their machine where it was installed. Looks Good Mediocre Inside
2 Star Review   By Virgina on Home Depot - Dec 26, 2010

Looks great, runs well, relatively quiet. Three downsides: 1) the bottom rack provides the same spaced tines throughout; there is no area that can accommodate plates other than flat dinner or bread plates. Limited area to allow bigger items such as bowls; suggest you take dishes to the store and check the loading possibilities needed before buying; 2) the Maytag this replaced fit perfectly into the space, this one is too narrow and we will have to add trim to the inside of the cabinet edge or continue to view the insulation; and 3) top shelf does not allow tall items.

Does a great job washing. It is important to use the Jet-Dry dispenser to keep dishes from being wet, even if put on heated dry. I like the pull out silverware baskets. Our opening was standard but we don't have a real snug fit and will probably need to add some vinyl trim to the sides.

HEAVEN!!!!
5 Star Review   By KCamden on Home Depot - Dec 2, 2010

Im in heaven with this dishwasher! Its so quiet and cleans so so so well! My dishes are spotless when they are done and even look new! Our kitchen is right off our family room, we can have our dishwasher running and not hear a thing while were watching tv or reading. My husband has actually gotten up and checked on it to make sure it was running because it was so quiet. Also a huge plus is the controls being hidden. If you have young children I would recommend this 1000 times over. I can get through a whole cycle with out the kids hitting buttons and changing settings. My favorite appliance in the house!

Good but not great.
4 Star Review   By MtWGuy on Home Depot - Nov 29, 2010

I bought this on sale at Home Depot for $400. It's hard to beat that price for such a sleek looking appliance. I really like the hidden controls. I have run it a few times and it seems to work well. Its quite a bit louder than the KitchenAide DW I had in my previous house, but its a lot quieter than the old DW it replaced which sounded like a UPS truck with a bad muffler. So, it could be quieter, but for the price, I'm not going to complain about that. The KitchenAide DW was quieter, but it cost twice as much. I installed it myself and the sales person convinced me that I needed to buy a $7 adapter for the water line. He told me I would be very upset when I tried to install it if I didnt order the adapter. Well, I ordered and paid for the adapter, but it was never delivered with the DW. I pretty much forgot all about it until I went to install it. Imagine how upset I was when I had ordered it and then realized I didnt get it. Anyway, another trip to Home Depot was needed. Very inconvenient. So overall, I think its a good DW for the price. Its just not a great dishwasher.

3 Star Review   By ardmoregirl on Home Depot - Nov 28, 2010

bought this machine online. sight unseen. to be honest, it's beautiful and sleek. but some reviews said it's quiet. IT"S NOT QUIET! it's actually quite loud. i replaced a 5.5 year old GE dw that had racks that were corroded and did not want to buy another GE b/c I saw no good reviews for the non-profile models. i have only run it once since yesterday, but was surprised by how loud it was--just as loud as my old rusted out GE. not too happy with it. wonder if other people who have written reviews have a different definition of "quiet" than I do. regardless, I only paid $398 for it with the extra $80 bucks for the 4 year warranty. my problems now is...do I return it and go through the hassle of getting another "quiet" model and having it not be quiet? the preformance is average. the dry cycle drys dishes but not fully. and the tub seemed to have a bit of water still left in it after the heated dry cycle. (again, I'll be calling home depot) so, overall, if you don't mind a cheap, pretty, loud diswasher that works ok, maybe this one would suit your needs.

We were looking at the more expensive GE models (thats what all our other appliances are), but saw this one on sale and thought we should try it out and save some money, boy am I glad we did! Don't waste your money on the more expensive ones, this one is quiet, I use the recommended soap and the jetclean and my dishes are spotless! I can't say anything bad about it. It is my second dishwasher and is 1,000x better then my first.

Do Yourself a Favor, Don't Buy this Dishwasher
1 Star Review   By DisappointedNCO on Home Depot - Nov 13, 2010

We purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot and liked the fact the controls were hidden and it was a nice looking dishwasher. Then about a month after our warrenty expired (13 mos), the dishwasher stopped working. Sometimes it would run for 8 to 9 hours at a time and others it wouldnt work. Turns out the circuit board does not work and it costs $350 to get repaired. I had a GE for 9 years and never had an issue. Wish I had purchased a GE; this will be the last Maytag appliance I ever buy.

3 Star Review   By petroeng on Home Depot - Oct 4, 2010

Purchased last week. Delivered on time within the 4 hour delivery window given. I had selected the option to have my old diswasher hauled off which was never done! Delivery drivers didn't know anything about it. Just dropped off the new dishwasher and left. When questioned, they stated they did not work for Home Depot and couldn't comment. Called the number on the card that was left. Thought it would connect me with Home Depot. Went to GE instead. Once again, the woman couldn't give me any information. Installed the dishwasher myself with no hassles. Unit runs quiet and seems to clean as well as any other dishwasher I have had in the past. The only thing I do not like about the diswasher are the controls being on the top of the door. Once installed, these are hidden below my countertop and not accessible with the door shut.

Don't waste your money ...
1 Star Review   By hdk0719 on Home Depot - Oct 1, 2010

We have had this dishwasher for about a week and since it's arrival, I've been getting dishwater hands! We have ran the dishwasher three times ... each time the dishes come out with a filmy residue and there is still food stuck to them. So far, we have tried different dishsoaps (including the one that came with the dishwasher) and we have ran a cleaning agent through the machine. Last night I tried again with dishes that were only slightly soiled and the results weren't any better. We have a repairman coming on Monday to look at it but if his visit doesn't make this better, it's going back on Tuesday!

Maytag Jetclean Dishwasher
4 Star Review   By MFWallace on Home Depot - Sep 18, 2010

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I have only run our new dishwasher once so far but it did a great job cleaning and was quiet and it looks cool & modern in my kitchen. Home Depot delivered & installed one week after I ordered online, delivery was free and the dishwasher was on sale and there is also a rebate :)

QUIET and cleans well
5 Star Review   By biblecat on Home Depot - Sep 9, 2010

The dishwasher was easy to install. It is much quieter than our old dishwasher and it has done a good job cleaning the dishes. I had originally picked out another model but changed to this one because of the reviews. Turns out people were right! I'm very happy with my choice and highly recommend it.

Love my new dishwasher
5 Star Review   By krose on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2010

Had a great experience ordering my new Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot online. Ordered it on a Friday and it was delivered on Tuesday. The outside of the dishwasher is very sleek looking. The dishwasher is so quiet when running. Would definately recommend.

Maytag dishwasher review
4 Star Review   By Milkmaiden on Home Depot - Jul 10, 2010

Our dishwasher was delivered promptly without any trouble. My husband easily installed it. We ordered the installation kit, but didn't end up needing it. We will be able to return it to our local Home Depot store for a full refund. This dishwasher is very spacious on the inside and is quiet - both features are what we looked for when we shopped on line for a unit. It looks sleek! I especially like that the control buttons are located/hidden on the top of the door so little fingers can't mess with them.

Stylish, Quiet and Defective
1 Star Review   By BroSco on Home Depot - Jul 8, 2010

Our Maytag cleaned well and was very quiet but the computer control panel started acting up about six months after installation. It started out not being able to switch between cleaning modes and not being able to disable the delay mode. We just lived with the problem until one month out of warranty when the entire board burnt out. The cost to replace the board is over half the cost of just buying the entire dishwasher. We are not happy campers.
