I really like this dishwasher
5 Star Review   By 1busymomma on Home Depot - May 29, 2013

I had purchased this in our last home and now bought another for the home we are in now. I really like how many dishes I can fit in the dishwasher, how it it set up, and it cleans well. But if you have hard water, like we had in our last house, only use Cascade Advanced liquid detergent. Otherwise, you will have a film over your dishes with this dishwasher and it is a pain to get off. I would recommend this dishwasher.

Design flaw!
1 Star Review   By Disappointed on Home Depot - May 25, 2013

The upper rack interferes with the soap dispenser when the rack is in the lower position, leaving undissolved soap and dirty dishes.

We've had the dishwasher for over a month and everything is still working great. Much better than the LG we had for only a couple of years

Great addition to my kitchen
5 Star Review   By Florida on Home Depot - Apr 25, 2013

Sooooo quiet and holds alot of dishes and pots and pans....the top control panal is an easy touch and easy to keep clean. This unit cleans better than any I have ever owned. I really enjoy this appliance, with all its extra features.....like an additional rack you can insert for crystal glasses......and chop sticks, believe it or not.

A dishwasher that does what it says!
5 Star Review   By LadyJayne on Home Depot - Feb 7, 2013

I got this dishwasher after my Maytag broke. I had continual problems with my Maytag not cleaning. This dishwasher is great! I can put pots in with rice stuck on them, hit the Steam button and they get clean. I also love the ball-bearing racks - very smooth and easy to slide in and out when filled to capacity. Also, it is so quiet! We don't even hear it running. The capacity is fantastic - we have six people in our family and it meets our needs. I was concerned that it didn't have enough cycles, but with the different buttons (for "steam, add heat', etc) it is very functional. I would like to have a display to show how many minutes left in the wash (it only has a light) but honestly, it's so fast that it's usually done before I need to check. One thing I have noticed about the new dishwashers that don't use as much water is that it's important not to use too much detergent. That helps the cleaning process.

I expected a lot more from a diswhaser that cost this much
1 Star Review   By Square on Home Depot - Aug 28, 2012

First of all it's difficult to load. The layout of the racks is like trying to put together a puzzel. It does a horrible job of cleaing the silverware. You must wash them before putting them in. The dishwasher I threw out did better. Also the silverware rack is a horrible design. Half of our silverware doesn't fit in the slots. Dishes don't get very clean unless you completely clean them. Paid $$$$ for something to rinse my dishes..... Not happy wish I would have bought the maytag I was looking at instead of listening to the guy at home depot.

Quiet & Clean
4 Star Review   By Hoss1 on Home Depot - Jun 1, 2012

Replaced our 22 year old GE dishwasher with this one. It was hard to install because the front leveling legs landed where the tlle meets the slab . Added a point of use 4 gallon hotwater heater under the sink to bring water temp to specs 130 degrees. I swipe rinse the dishes before loading as they sit a few days to prevent oders. loading salad bowls is like a jigsaw puzzel, plates are ok. Normal wash with heat dry is perfect. Dishes are clean With water hardness less than 7 grains, I use very little detergent. PS failed the peanut butter test @ normal wash.

Not Bad Poor Rack Layout FAILED PEANUT BUTTER TEST
3 Star Review   By Hoss1 on Home Depot - May 31, 2012

I purchased his unit in jan-2012. Very Quiet, I used the blanket insulation from the old dishwasher and tacked it to the enclosure. Unlevel floor (tile flooring to slab) made it hard to install. My hotwater max out 110 degrees, so I added a 4 gallon under the sink waterheater to run the dishwash to specs.Very pleased I can run the dishwasher and waterheater on the same circuit 15 amp Must rinse dishes before loading, they may sit a week ,normal wash is good. Loading is like a jigsaw puzzle

Quiet Dishwasher
5 Star Review   By OldMom on Home Depot - Apr 17, 2012

This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned. I keep looking to make sure I have started the load of dishes. Love that the control are easy to use and are out of the way of little fingers.

Great budget dishwasher
5 Star Review   By nanilani04 on Home Depot - Mar 13, 2012

I have been using my new dishwasher for a few weeks, and it is a huge improvement over my old GE Nautilus. It's not completely silent at all times, but it's pretty darn close and won't disrupt conversations/TV time/etc. The rack arrangement is ok. The size works well for me and my SO, but I imagine it would fill up really quickly with a larger family. I do appreciate the stemware supports on the top rack. I like the streamlined and modern look of the top controls. The front is much glossier than pictured, so it does show a lot of fingerprints. Delivery was quick, but I was not aware until the day of that the installation needed to be scheduled separately. Fortunately they had weekend appointments available so I didn't need to take more than one afternoon off work, but this may vary by region.

Superior cleaning, user friendly, quiet, good capacity, attractive
5 Star Review   By BB885 on Home Depot - Feb 14, 2012

This dishwasher replaced our 14-year-old dishwasher that became less effective and very noisy. This GE Adora has a large capacity stainless steel tub, due to the "tall tub" design. Installation by my contractor was simple (for him), with its standard hookups. Controls are hidden on the top edge of the door, a nice feature that streamlines the style of the dishwasher. Cleaning works great using only the single cup option and 2 Tbsp of powdered detergent in our area. The top rack is height adjustable, and there is plenty of room for tall glasses, water bottles, and pots. This dishwasher is very quiet (Note: it is NOT silent!), which is great with our open kitchen design. We used to have to go to another room to have a conversation or talk on the phone with the old noisy dishwasher. That is not the case with our new GE Adora. When the dishwasher is done running, a green light illuminates on the top edge of the door, next to the control buttons, to show that the dishes are clean. Very nice dishwasher. Strongly recommend this product.

Nice product, great value. Lives up to the GE brand name
5 Star Review   By mthreet on Home Depot - Jan 31, 2012

Super quiet, does a great job cleaning the dishes. The deep interior will hold very large plates and pans such as a cookie sheet or pizza pan. Love the stainless steel interior. I believe that I will enjoy many years of great service from this dishwasher.

Love it
5 Star Review   By MombieTheZombie on Home Depot - Jan 3, 2012

We are so happy with this purchase. The dishwasher cleans dishes well without prerinsing, is quiet (not silent) and looks good with hidden controls. The Steam PreWash works well. We're not typically fans of GE products, but this dishwasher does what it supposed to do. I would note that none of the rack tines are adjustable, but that hasn't been an issue for us.

There are better dishwashers out there
2 Star Review   By Lovetoshop on Home Depot - Dec 18, 2011

I bought the GE Adora because it had all the features I was looking for and it was reasonably priced. Unfortunately, there are too many negatives. It's not energy efficient because you can't use the normal cycle if you want clean dishes. It also leaves the dishes soaking wet after the heated dry cycle. The dishwasher will smell if you leave dirty dishes in it for more than two days. My friend bought an LG and raves about it. I wish I had purchased something else.

So far, so good
5 Star Review   By utex on Home Depot - Sep 20, 2011

After reading reviews of dishwashers, I was nervous about replacing mine. It was 20 years old and still washed dishes, but had cracks and I figured it would be going out soon. I saw the Adora at the store and liked the staggered top rack to accommodate the taller glasses, and I liked the adjustable feature to accommodate larger platters on those occasions of holiday dinners, etc. It is extremely quiet. the first time I ran it, I had to put my ear to it to make sure it was doing anything. I don't notice it running longer than my old one, although I am just using the Normal cycle. I like the buttons on the top since it makes for a cleaner look on the face of the machine. In all, am happy with my purchase and the installers. I hope I get as many years from this machine as my old Whirlpool; if so, I'll be a happy camper.

Great Dishwasher
5 Star Review   By spigot1999 on Home Depot - Sep 3, 2011

Just bought and installed this dish washer last week. The install was very easy. This was the first dish washer I've ever installed myself. I had no issues what so ever. The install took me about 30 mins. This dishwasher was better then I expected. The tub is huge inside. My dishes and even my cutting board actually fit inside! So far, I haven't had any negative thoughts about this purchase, and would recommend this item.
