5 Star Review   By swopever on Home Depot - May 2, 2013

I paid the little extra to have the Home Depot installation. Installation was no more than 25 minutes, and thats with installing the stacking kit. Used for 8 months now. Drying is good, all modes work as advertised.

great product having it installed an issue

Great dryer. Paid home depot to install they said they couldnt put dryer on the side of washer so doors opened logically. I had to uninstall the dryer and buy a longer gas hose and do it myself!

Enjoying the dryer so far.
5 Star Review   By Laundress on Home Depot - Feb 1, 2013

The Steam Option was what enticed me to try this dryer. It has fewer settings than others of its type but more than enough for me. I am still learning the best ways to use the machine but have found the clothes are softer and less wrinkled than with my previous non-steam dryer.

Space age dryer
5 Star Review   By 124578tay on Home Depot - Feb 1, 2013

So far the dryer is performing well. The matching washing machine hardly gives it a chance to work hard as the clothes are barely wet when putting them into the dryer.

This machine is quiet and does the job well
5 Star Review   By Allan on Home Depot - Jan 10, 2013

We bought this model specifically we wanted a gas dryer match for our new LG Steam washer. It is very quiet and has a Best Buy rating in Consumer Reports. Reliability is the primary reason we bought LG. It has a better frequency of repair reputation than other manufacturers as respects washer and dryer equipment. The biggest concern I had as respects reliability is the fact that some manufacturers are having many stainless steel dryer drum failures involving cracked and warped drums that tear holes in clothing and thump loudly on each drum revolution as though there are shoes being dried. This dryer has a coated black steel drum, not one of stainless steel. The companion washer spins the loads so very dry that this dryer keeps up well with the washer. The Home Depot installers were experienced, courteous and took their time.

Works extremely well
5 Star Review   By TemeculaMom on Home Depot - Oct 3, 2012

It was hooked up in minutes and is whisper quiet. There's a nice little chime you can't really hear, but if you know you put clothes in you probably know when they need to come out; and the chime is much better than that loud and obtrusive buzzer. My previous washer and dryer of a different brand was horrible and these LGs have the statistically least need for repair (CR). So far, I'm very enthusiastic about my LGs. I couldn't be happier.

Has great features and is energy efficient, in real words, looks great on the outside with all its bells and whistles.
2 Star Review   By Louie on Home Depot - Sep 1, 2012

After 2 months it starts to gain its age in animal years. The steamer option never sprayed the clothes evenly. Just when you would take the clothes out, you would find they were sprayed in one spot and never, never evenly. My main problem was after just 2 years the stainless steel tub had gradually misshaped from a circle to an oval from heat, and everytime I dried my clothes the dryer would start banging against the rollers once the heat reached a certain point causing the tub to misshape. The heavier the load the sooner it would start. The repairman who came to repair the drier said this was a common problem with LG and Samsung Driers. At least it would wait until your warranty and extended warranty expired. He had over 30 years of experience with appliances. Said it was cheaper in the long run to get a new dryer than to repair this one.

Nice dryer. Lots of different options for cycles. I used the steam feature once just to try it out, but wasn't very impressed. Gets the job done and looks really nice next to my matching washer. LOVE the light.

Completion signal inadequate
3 Star Review   By Gordon on Home Depot - Jul 19, 2012

I just purchased this dryer and it works fine overall. The biggest problem is that, instead of a proper loud beep when it is done, it plays a little jingle which is very hard to hear unless you're in the same room. I read the manual and contacted LG to confirm that there is no way to change the volume or the jingle. Your only choices are to turn it on or off. Dryers 30 years ago had no problem emitting a loud beep, but LG tried to get cute on us instead. If they couldn't do the "ring tone" style properly (meaning making it loud enough to hear in another room, or at least offer a volume control), they should have stuck with the tried and true loud long beep. I'm going to keep the dryer now that I have it, but when I soon replace my washer, I'll avoid LG. Unfortunately, the "white" color that this comes with is a muddy off-white and probably won't match other brands. It certainly doesn't match our current true-white Maytag washer. I also have the problem that Hmbldr mentioned with the dryer sheet getting partially sucked into the lint filter and I need to rip it out.

Dryer works great.
5 Star Review   By Hmbldr on Home Depot - Jun 12, 2012

Easy install, easy setup. Works like a charm and dries great. Everybody's happy. Features are great. Only flaw is sometimes dryer sheet gets sucked into the lint filter. Drying time and thoroughness has not been a problem as some have commented. Steam freesh a nice plus.

Great so far
5 Star Review   By melbe123 on Home Depot - Jun 11, 2012

I've had this dryer for about a month now and so far it handles like a champ. Very large capacity so I can put nearly twice the clothes than my old dryer and they always come out dry. I love not having to run the dryer twice to get my clothes all the way dry. I also love the no static cling button because I hate static. Great energy saver. Very happy with my purchase.
