Great Buy!
5 Star Review   By Jessy on Home Depot - Jan 24, 2007

This fan was installed easily (with two people) and is quite stable. We were impressed by how much better it looks installed and the size is NOT too big! We had concerns about the size in a standard bedroom, but it looks and works great.

Not enought light
2 Star Review   By morelight on Home Depot - Jan 15, 2007

The ceiling fan looks fine, was fairly easy to put together, and operates quietly. However, it produced very little light. It only uses three 40 Watt candelabra bulbs. We have another ceiling fan that uses the same three 40W bulbs, but for some reason this ceiling fan does not light up the room like our other fan does. I don't know if its a result of the glass being too frosted or if the dimmer switch was keeping the fan from "lighting up" fully. We put this fan in our great room, but it only produces enough light for a soft glow in the room - great "mood" lighting, but we wanted enough light for our kids to read and see what they're doing. We get more light in the great room from the lights in our kitchen (adjoining the great room) than we did from this ceiling fan. Thankfully HomeDepot has a good return policy, and we'll try our luck with a different fan.

A Few Install Problems But A Great Fan
4 Star Review   By ClarkRC on Home Depot - Nov 3, 2006

A few problems with the instructions, they did not match the actual hardware. The remote installation was not adequately covered, requiring some disassembly and reassembly to complete the project. Excellent fan, very smooth and quiet. Remote works very well. Didn't like the small based bulbs, but I can live with them. Like the small footprint of the motor compared with the other Hunter fans I have. Thanks!

The General (Stonebridge)
5 Star Review   By nurseann on Home Depot - Nov 1, 2006

Dreaming for another Hunter Fan was fulfilled the day The General (Stonebridge) was installed in my office. Two lamp lights and sometimes a third was needed for me to see the detailed work I have to do and then I could not see clearly. At 65 my eyes have not been as sharp but my work could not suffer. When The General arrived and was installed in my ceiling, I could only shout, "I can see!" and the other lights were promptly removed. The fan has blessed me as now I don't have to sweat so much and worry the moisture would smudge my papers. What a blessing! I am in love with my General!

Stonebridge ceiling fan
5 Star Review   By nejym on Home Depot - Oct 24, 2006

We love the fan. It is a perfect size for our game room. It puts out enough light, the fan moves the air.... cools down the room quickly. We would definely recomend this fan to a friend who has a large room!!! It is nicely designed. not difficult to install. Quiet motor. We have it on a 2 ft down rod and there is no wobble.

Hunter-60"Stonebridge Ceiling Fan
4 Star Review   By nitch on Home Depot - Oct 20, 2006

Once installed, the fan looks and functions great, very quiet and wobble free at all fan speeds, like all Hunter fans that I've owned. The remote operation is a wonderful addition. My only complaints are that the installation directions could be more detailed and better illiustrated, especially for the remote set-up. I had to visit several online web sites to find more infomation. Another complaint is that the Home Depot online catalog description of the fan was not accurate. The online catalog indicated this fan could be mounted in the either of three positions like most Hunter fans (flush, angled & downrod). However, when I received the fan I was surprised to find out it could only be mounted in two positions, (angled or downrod). No other customer review had mentioned this fact. I was initially planning to mount it flush to the ceiling. This was one of the main reasons I ordered it online. The local Home Depot did not carry this model. Due to our ceiling height I was concerned the fan would hang to low. After much deliberation about returning it, I decided to go ahead and mount it with the down rod. Due to the unique design of this fan with the fan blades actually mounting on top of the motor (unlike most other fans), the fan blade height was not very diffferent than our other flush mount Hunter fans. Once again, in spite of the online catalog misinformation and poorly illustrated installation manual, we really love the fan. It it a beautiful addition to our living room.

Excellent Product
5 Star Review   By chitownkiki on Home Depot - Oct 19, 2006

We bought this fan originally 2 years ago and then last month we bought 3 more. They run silently without rattling and provide great coolness to the 1st floor of an old victorian house during the summer. We love them. I highly recommended this product. Especially at this great price.

fan had all the parts and easy to install if you have done ceiling fans before. The instructions were not very through, didn't bother installing remote controll because wasn't sure how to do with the instructions provided. Fan looks very impressive for the price.

wonderful fan
4 Star Review   By onmywon on Home Depot - Jul 18, 2006

We love the fan and would give it a 5 except for the difficulty with the remote receiver. The rating info from others helped fix that problem but the receiver needs to be smaller. Gives off loads of air.

Declining Quality?
4 Star Review   By Michael on Home Depot - Jul 14, 2006

I've been a buyer and user of Hunter fans for years. I've always been pleased with them and had good luck. So far this fan looks and works great. However I couldn't help but notice that Hunter is starting to use more plastic, printed wood grain blades, and generic fan motors. I hope I'm not seeing the decline of one of the last quality fan names still out there. I chose not to install the remote control which came with the fan so I can't comment on it. It appeared that it would have been a challenge to mount. The included light fixture is VERY dim, even with the maximum allowed wattage bulbs installed.

Great fan!
5 Star Review   Home Depot

I bought two of these fans in May of 2006. They are very quiet, don't seem to wobble, and the remote control is a very convenient feature. The only draw back so far was the installation of the first fan. Due to the location of the remove control receiver (which lies in the fan's ceiling cap, there was very limited room to stuff the wires in. It was basically difficult to cram the receiver, the wires and hold up the (somewhat) heavy fan (with blades attached) while on the tall ladder. You might asked why we lifted the fan with the blades on when it would seem to be easier to install without the blades first. The screws for the fan blades are on the top of the blade. So it was actually easier to install with the fan blades on. Another tip, cut the long wires short so that you can stuff the wires into the hole in the ceiling, this leaves much more room for the receiver and what's left of the wires sticking out. We did this for the installation of the second fan and it was *much* easier to install.

Hunter Stonebridge Ceiling Fan
5 Star Review   Home Depot

Wonderful product. Smooth, even air flow at all speeds. Goes with any decor Extrememly quiet, no wobbling at all(especially for a fan this size).Easy to install. The remote is a great ! Not having to stop what I am doing to go over and turn the speed up or down when the temperature changes is a nice plus. Good price for a product of this quality.

Great choice!
5 Star Review   Home Depot

I have 3 of these ceiling fans, one on each level of my townhouse. The long blades keep air moving, the remote control is an awesome feature, and the style fits perfectly with any decor. My only negative comment regards installation: it was a difficult (and time-consuming) effort to get all the wires & the wireless receiver box under the base housing. After that was done however, all 3 fans are working beautifully & quietly!!
