You can make this >5500 Lumen using only <70W
5 Star Review   By serguzest on Home Depot - Jun 9, 2013

This take 9 bulbs, but all candelabra. It is hard to find candelabra led bulbs with high lumens, so here is what I did:I changed to 6 top sockets to regular sockets and installed 6 Cree 60W equivalent 2700K led bulbs. Here's how to do it: * Make sure it works properly first. Since you'll do modifications, I don't think you can take it back if it does not work. * You'll change only top 6 sockets since bottom sockets are hard to change and there is little space down there for regular bulbs. * Buy item 75121 from HD's competitor. (HD does not carry this). These can be installed instead of existing candelabra sockets. * Carefully cut the existing socket cables from the sockets as close as possible to the socket. * Unscrew the sockets and discard them. * Screw the new sockets and then attach the cables together. Make sure to attach blacks to blacks and whites to whites. You'll need to attach 3 blacks and 3 whites together for each socket except one. For one socket at the end, you'll need to attach two blacks and two whites. * I bought 6 Cree 2700K 60W equivalent bulbs from HD. Total 4800 lumens. I bought 3 240 lumen 2700K led candelabra bulbs from the competitor (since HD's candelabra led bulbs were so expensive). So total lumens: 5520 (almost 400W equivalent). Total consumption: 6*9+3*4=66W! * Enjoy your low energy, high lumen ceiling fan!

great fan...does the job....that is, to move the air.
5 Star Review   By jayan on Home Depot - Jun 9, 2013

Installed this on a 15 foot ceiling and I had to buy an extension rod. My electrician said that he finds it difficult to install, not your typical fan. The lights are all candelabra. Don't rely on this as the main lighting source in the area. You'll be disappointed. I bought the fan only for 1 use: move the air. It does a great job. I only have to use the medium function...and it's more than enough. In this Texas heat, I don't even have to use it in high. When I look up, the fan is pretty to look at. And one more thing, I have installed this in my TV area. With the fan on, and I tried it on high, it is very quiet. Wobbles? None at all. I've had this for a month now, and I use it almost 24 hrs daily. To top it all, I even got it at a discounted price. One very satisfied customer here.

Best Great Room Fan Ever!
5 Star Review   By Mitsubachi88 on Home Depot - Jun 6, 2013

We absolutely love this fan! We installed it in our large, 2-story, sloped ceiling living room and it works great. The installation took some doing simple because of the slope and how high it was. It has little to no wobble. The remote control is handy and there are no chains hanging in the middle of the room. When we're watching a movie, we can turn on just the upper light and it doesn't distract from the experience. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone and often do!

5 Star Review   By HandyPam on Home Depot - Jun 4, 2013

Reverseable blades are a big plus. It's quiet, moves LOTS of air and its just BEAUTIFUL! The remote is easy to use & because of the up-light & down-light I can get the perfect ambiance. We hit a few snags with installation but I guess reading the instructions first would have been better. :-)

I love the contemporary design
5 Star Review   By Scooter on Home Depot - May 31, 2013

I'm a female and I installed this fan with ease. It did take me about 5 hours but that included taking my other ceiling fan down and installing the new one on an 11' ceiling. I used a 24" down rod (not included) instead of the 12" rod (included). Like others mentioned, make sure you cut excess wires after feeding through the rod for easy fitting under the canopy. There is no noise and no wobble even on high. The air flow is wonderful! I especially like the 2 sets of lights working independent w/the dimmer. I think this fan gives just the right amount of light. As far as the reverse goes, I live in Florida so I probably won't use the reverse. If I did - really, how long does it take to grab a ladder and flip the switch!! I have only had the fan up for a day, so I will repost if I have any problems!

Installs fast!
5 Star Review   By Mina on Home Depot - May 14, 2013

My hubby installed this fan fast. It comes complete with fasteners, unlike some of the other fans he's set up. It's a beautiful design & delivers more wind than I expected for a home ceiling fan. We've never had the setting above medium since after first testing it. The wind is that strong.

Buyers be educated about what you are buying
3 Star Review   By jim33 on Home Depot - May 11, 2013

Overall I like the fan but there are issues that I'm of not real happy about. First you can not wire it to work on a 3 way light switch, secondly the remote can not reverse the fan, that has to be done manually at the motor. The fan runs very smooth and moves a lot of air. Unfortunately the high speed on my fan doesn't work but I'm not going to go through the hassle of it down and returning it.

A decent fan for the price.
4 Star Review   By Lightning on Home Depot - Apr 26, 2013

Doing a total remodel on my house. The girlfriend wanted to change everything from my Southwest look to Contemporary...who was I to argue? We chose this fan as it compliments all of our hardware which is now brushed nickel. I purchased three of these fans, two for the great room and one for the kitchen. All the fans installed easily. The remotes are very nice. I am a little concerned after reading some other comments about faulty remotes, but so far, mine are working well. Two of the fans wobbled somewhat and I had to balance them. One of the "wobblers" is on a four foot extension and might contribute to the problem. I reduced the wobble to a very minimum using the balancing kit. I like the the optional upper and lower lighting. It is warm and dimable, which is a huge plus. I replaced 20 year old Hunter fans with these fans and hope that these will stand the test of time, as well. Fingers crossed.

I hired Handyman to install & the receiver didn't work. He went to Home Depot and they only had diff receiver which didn't work. I ordered new fan online which receiver didn't work on it either so paid him again. I called maker and they sent 2 receivers (free) one of each and handyman came again and installed (4th time) and worked perfectly! The other one I put in the one mailed to me and I returned to store for refund. I paid the handyman approx $375 when the fan was approx $228. Now that its fixed I LOVE IT & its Beautiful.

A great fan for the $
5 Star Review   By KathyD on Home Depot - Mar 1, 2013

We bought this fan for our great room (400 sf) Electrical supply stores were trying to sell us an $800 fan for that size room. We were looking for alternatives 60" fan with uplighting. We saw this fan online and ordered it. It is beautiful in the room, the uplighting is awesome, the fan is quiet - we cannot hear it running at all! The remote control is a bonus feature - and we love it. The person installing this light should be comfortable working on a ladder.

quiet, pretty fan

this is a very pretty fan that we have received many compliments on. My husband installed it relatively quickly without much frustration. If you are looking for a fan that puts out alot of light, this may not be the one. While it has 2 lighting settings, they are low wattage. We dont like blaring light at night, so it works for us

Magnificent Fan
5 Star Review   By wylieSteve on Home Depot - Nov 18, 2012

This is a magnificent fan for our living room. It is large and stylish but matches our furniture well. Our furniture is maple with stainless steel or brushed nickel accents and the fan goes well with the room. Possibly because of its size it has been challenging to get it well balanced so that it does not shake at the highest speeds. The continuously variable dimmer with the remote is a nice feature - both the upper and lower lights can be adjusted for just the right brightness. The fan had a few scratches on some of the metal parts which are not visible from the floor but were noticeable when hanging the fan.

Good Value and Good Looks
4 Star Review   By RJANTIGUA on Home Depot - Nov 13, 2012

After looking for 60" and greater fans with up/downlighting for a long time, this fan fit our requirements. We purchased the 12ft downrod for our two-story great room. The lighting isn't super bright but gives off a good glow that suits the room. The directional switch is on the fan body, but we never change the direction. Fan blades do move the air well, though the styling is a bit mundane, and I just wish they were darker on both sides. No noise from the motor, and only very slight wobble at high speeds. If you have a second-story overlook to the room, the top of the housing isn't the prettiest view with the bulbs and ceramic bulb sockets exposed. I also wish the remote came in white as well to match the light switches on the wall.

Great fan
5 Star Review   By vergance on Home Depot - Nov 7, 2012

Was looking for a fan with an uplight and a remote. Looked at some very expensive models. This was far, far cheaper. Looks great in the tray ceiling of our master bedroom. Remote works great. The quality of the components is really top tier. Dead silent and can move a lot of air.

Looks and works great!
5 Star Review   By Mike on Home Depot - Oct 30, 2012

I got 2 of these fans to move the air in a 26 x 36 room with 15 ft ceiling. I have a pellet stove as the primary heat and needed to get the air moving well. They look and work great! Installation was a bit tricky but not too bad. They give you plenty of wire for longer down rods. After you run the wire through the downtrodden, be sure to cut the excess wire to about 5" or else you will never be able to stuff it all inside the electrical box. Other than that, take your time and follow the directions exactly and you should be fine. Definitely recommend this fan!

Gorgeous fan at darn good price
5 Star Review   By KRae on Home Depot - Jul 31, 2012

The best-looking fan we've ever bought. Not only is it stunning to look at, it has great features (remote is great), and is quiet even at top speed. True craftsmanship at a very good price. Was worried that installation would be difficult; it WAS in fact a pain, but mostly because the design is so intricate. And anyway it was well worth it.

This fan makes breeze
5 Star Review   By somda on Home Depot - Jun 27, 2012

This is by far the best fan I have been under. It has a HUGE wing-span and first when it turns you think that it is so slow, how can it move air. But it does and it is not like the buffety blows of air you experience with "fast" fans, it is a breeze. Hampton Bay has figured out a way to make Breeze in the room. If the sizes of my rooms allowed, i would put this in every room. Did I say it was ultra-quiet?

NO reverse function on remote....How can you change direction on a 20" ceiling???
3 Star Review   By carribean2 on Home Depot - Jun 21, 2012

This product clearly states on the box it is "IDEAL for a Great Room".Most great rooms have tall ceilings. I personally have a 20" ceiling. The fan was installed with a 6 ft. downrod (the longest HD had) The electrician installed the fan, tested it etc and left. (needed a electrician as he had a 16ft. step ladder). It was not until later that I noticed that there was no "reverse" button on the remote. The reverse switch is on the unit/motor itself. How am I going to reverse the fan when it is 13 ft. high???? I have purchased other fans by Hampton Bay which were less money and they have always had a reverse button. Someone dropped the ball on this fan!!!!Not Happy!

Wobbles
3 Star Review   By Dave on Home Depot - Feb 27, 2012

I was surprised how much this fan wobbled where other fans I've purchased for less money do not wobble at all. I was able to balance this fan using a combination of two balancing kits, an hour of my time, and plenty of patience.

Good fan for a decent price.
4 Star Review   By murdock on Home Depot - Dec 21, 2011

I got this fan for my living room of approx 20x25. It is nice and quiet on all speeds doesn't wobble or click as some have noted. I like the fact that it has upper and lower lights that can be turned on separately. I use the upper light put it on dim so it barely lights the room. Its good for watching tv. You can get up and find your way to the kitchen and not trip on anything or just locate the remote. The lower light is used to illuminate the room and gets quite bright. It isn't blinding or overpowering but enough to light the room well. My only complaint is that it uses regular candelabra bulbs. So no CFL's or LED's to save power. Even if you went out and bought the expensive dim-able bulbs they still don't fit well as the space for the bulbs is very limited. Other than that it's a great fan with excellent build quality and looks terrific. For a $200 fan it is on par with what you expect. 60" of fan moves air quietly and gives a nice breeze.

Beautiful Fan- Works Great!
5 Star Review   By BobinBoynton on Home Depot - Nov 30, 2011

We bought 2 of these fans for our Great Room. Our only problem was deciding which color blade we wanted to use. It actually worked out that we have the Walnut in one area of the room and the Elm in the other area and it works great with our design. The fan is a little time consuming installing but well worth it. There is nothing difficult about it. It is a one person job as you assemble it as you go. Being a licensed electrician I find it funny when I hear people assemebling the entire fan before hanging it. If you follow the instructions you can't go wrong. One of the fans has a slight wobble on High but with the great breeze these fans put out, I can't see ever using it on anything more than low or medium and we live in South Florida. I removed our old Fan Controls and just installed simple Single Pole Switches. These fans can either be wired without a switch or with. Our home did not have the wiring for a light kit and that's what I liked about these fans, you just need the normal Hot, Neutral and Ground wiring and the Remote Controls do the rest except for reversing the motor. Saved me a trip into the attic to run more wiring! There is a switch on top of the motor in the event you want to reverse the motor. After 40 years in Florida, we have never used that feature on a fan. If we need it, it is a few steps on the ladder, flip the switch and you're ready to go. Everything is working great and I will repost if any issues occur down the road. I consider this fan to be a great value considering everything you get with it.

Replacement Has Same Issues
1 Star Review   By David on Home Depot - Nov 28, 2011

Received and installed the Brookedale II Fan on 8/22/10 as a replacement (provided my Home Depot) for a failed original Brookedale (after a little over a year). On 11/22/11, 3 months after warranty and with family coming for the holiday-the Brookedale II decides that it does not want to shut off and is stuck on high speed in my dining room. Again, this fan was a replacement for the Brookedale I. Both fan's had a life span of approximately 14 months before the remote unit went out. I have to believe that this is a consistent problem and I would not recommend purchasing a fan where the fan is 100 percent remote. If the remote goes-you are at the mercy of the fan and the company that stands behind their product. I plan to replace this fan-again-with one maybe not a nice but can be controlled manually. Buy at your own risk!

Beautiful fan, works great!
5 Star Review   By BobBobson on Home Depot - Oct 27, 2011

We like the understate art-deco style of this fan, and it performs excellently. There are two sets of lights, so you can control the brightness. You should know that this fan has no chain/cord hanging from it -- depending on your needs, this is a plus or a minus: it creates very clean lines, but it also means that the remote control is the only way to change the speed, so if, for example, you have toddlers who like to experiment with remote controls and toilets, this might be a consideration... :-)

Nice looking, but has Noise issues
1 Star Review   By jb77 on Home Depot - Sep 9, 2011

We purchased this fan and loved the look of it. Shortly after we installed it, the fan would make a constant noise whenever it was on, and it was very annoying. The fan was balanced, so it wasn't a wobbly issue. It ended up being the lower light kit that would just continually rattle. We ended up taking off the lower light kit, so we could sleep at night, but we obviously lost the good look that we originally bought it for.

Why share something so cool?
5 Star Review   By jingin on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2011

Wow is all I can say about this. No, I would not recommend it for a friend. I want to be the only "friend" who has it in her home. It gorgeous! Every one who comes in my home complements this ceiling fan. It's a piece of art and it blends in very well with my living room and stainless steel accessories. Love the dual options on lighing, it's quiet and the bulbs give a beautiful glow. I wish I had another large room I could use it in.

Fan is Great Value
4 Star Review   By PeterC on Home Depot - Aug 19, 2011

This is really a great fan and an excellent buy. It went together very ez and was up and running in under 30 minutes. The only negatives are that the remote will not reverse the fan having you to climb up to flip a switch, which is also hard to get to on top of the motor. Also the 6 included bulbs for the beautiful indirect up light are too small ( 15W frosted. ) They need 25W clear blubs to greatly improve lighting.

Another great Hampton Bay fan!
5 Star Review   By Frank on Home Depot - Aug 6, 2011

We loved this fan so much, we bought it again! We believe this a newer model the Hampton Bay fan we installed at our previous home. Beyond looking great, the dual lighting and fan breeze are great as well. It shocks me of how silent their fans are!

Terrible wobble on med & high speeds
2 Star Review   By GreerHobbyist on Home Depot - Jul 29, 2011

Bought this fan a few months ago so electricians would know rough-in wiring required. Expected it to be a perfect complement in our new sunroom. Electricians installed it yesterday. Looks awesome. But it it wobbles so much on med & high speeds it's scary. Instruction book says to measure blade distance from the ceiling to see if they are all within 1/8", but doesn't say what to do if they are out-of-spec. If refers to using a balancing kit, but doesn't tell how to use it, and there was not a kit in the box. On the plus side, you only need an on-off wall switch, or no switch at all, because the 3 speeds and the two light sets are controlled by the remote. We installed six standard-shape 60-watt CFLs (13-watt power draw) in the uplight during installation instead of the incandescents supplied with the fan, and although a tight fit, candle-shape CFLs fit the downlight, but they touch the bowl (candle shape CFLs are still much larger than incandescents). Being able to install CFLs instead of power hungry incandescents while getting more light was important. With 20-20 hindsight, I would get 40 watt CFLs for the uplight to get 240 watt light equivalent instead of 360 watt equivalent. Also, get a light temp warmer than the 3500K (lower temp = warmer light) that were the only ones we could find at the time. 3500K is a little too white. The remote does not control the reverse, however, so I'll need a ladder twice a year to reach that switch . Regardless of the cure for the blade wobble, being mounted 10'6" off the floor will make all fixes a hassle. If we didn't have the blade wobble, I would give it 4 stars. Lack of a reversing feature on the remote is the reason it would not get the 5th star, even if the blades didn't wobble. I'll still recommend it, as blade wobble doesn't seem to be reported often, the up & down lights do exactly what I expected (being too bright is easy to fix by installing lower wattage CFLs), the remote works great, and it looks really sharp in our 16x18 room.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this fan
5 Star Review   By rodtice on Home Depot - Feb 27, 2011

I was waiting for the price of this fan to go down finally got one. I installed it myself on a 17.5 foot ceiling, that is a horrible job having to rent a ladder tall enough, however the fan went together as easily as it could being a rather involved install. (lots of decorative pieces) It looks GREAT, Super smooth and perfectly balanced. NO QC issues at all. I'm buying another one tomorrow.

clicking noise
4 Star Review   By bill717 on Home Depot - Nov 1, 2010

I BOUGHT TWO FANS FOR A 25 X 25 FOOT ROOM THEY ARE A MONTH OLD THEY RUN NICE BUT I HAD A CLICKING NOISE IN BOTH OF THEM AFTER INSTALLING THEM AND I HAD TO TAKE THEM APART TO FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS , THE FOUR SCREWS THAT ARE UNDER THR UPPER LIGHT BAR THAT HOLDS THE MOTOR SCHROUD ARE TOO LONG AND THEY HIT FOUR ALUMINUM TABS THAT ARE MOUNTED DIRECTLY TO THE MOTER ITSELF I GUESS THERE FOR COOLING OF THE MOTOR. I CORRECTED THE PROBLEM BY SLIGHTLY BENDING THE TABS DOWN A LITTLE BIT TO CLEAR THE SCREWS. SHORTER SCREWS WHOULD WORK TOO BUT DIDNT HAVE ANY HANDY. I AM VERY SURPRISED OF QC THAT BROOKDALE DIDNT CATCH THIS MANUFACTURING SLIP UP. ALSO 60 WATT BULBS WOULD BE BETTER IN THE MAIN LIGHT.

4 Star Review   By DC80138 on Home Depot - Nov 1, 2010

Bought this fan 10/2010. Nice look and works fine. But the remote will not shut off the top lights all the way. When-ever the fan is on with the wall switch, the top light s are on. No matter what speed the fan goes, the lights are on. Works OK for a living room, but sure would be bad trying to sleep if in a bed room. People at Home Depot had been nice.,...and calling the 877#....the contact people are sending a new remote wireless controller. Should fix the problem....and it'll be great when all works according to plans and the book. I like it...and my wife loves it. Sure wish I could find a USA made product....but this is a second choice.

Nice looking but flickers
3 Star Review   By MPena on Home Depot - Sep 7, 2010

I purschased this fan for our new home and it was lovely looking. We received many compliments. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks the bottom light begin to flicker every 2 to 3 seconds while in the off position. We wanted to just run the fan without any lights but the flickering is annoying. We will contact the service department for a solution.

great breeze
4 Star Review   By MeganP on Home Depot - Jul 31, 2010

this fan is beatiful, we wanted to get a new fan because our old one didnt have a light. This has the option for uplighting or down lighting. The light is the perfect amount for our living room. The air circulation is awesome and has kept us from having to run the AC constantly when it's been 80 degrees INSIDE our house. the only downside is that a slight ticking noise has developed, not loud but you definately notice it when the TV is off. I need to get up there again and check out why it's doing that.

Incredible value
5 Star Review   By 1Johnny1 on Home Depot - Jul 8, 2010

My wife wanted to decorate our new house with a emphasis on bright chrome. Our family room is the center piece of our home. We wanted a large fan that was also elegant. The 60 inch brookedale II by hampton bay is perfect. It is elegant, very attractive and the center piece of our room. It clearly sets the tone and the size works well with our room. The controls are very easy to use. We did have it professionally installed as I didn't want to tackle the extra wires that the remote control requires. All in all we are extremely pleased with the internet purchase from Home depot

Great Fan but be Careful Installing
4 Star Review   By Epsilon on Home Depot - Jul 5, 2010

* The beautiful bars you see in the picture that connect from the glass to the center pole only work with the long pole. Looks good without them too though * Air movement is amazing once it balances right. * HEAVY! It took 3 of us to install this fan. two to hold parts while one wired. It took some adjustment afterwards to get it balanced in place. This may be one that is worth hiring the electrician for. * Be sure to change the remote code before you install it or any other remote fans from this same brand will start turning eachother on and off. We have received a ton of compliments on this fan. We live in a city where summer temperatures are routinely over 100 degrees and this keeps our great room cool. It really gets the air moving and the remote control is extremely convenient. Our ceiling is 9 feet tall and with the short pole it is a great height.

Great Looking Fan
4 Star Review   By BLine on Home Depot - Jun 24, 2010

We just got this fan 2 weeks ago. It's has a very nice appearance! However, we are having the same clicking noise. Thanks for the great tip on the repair. I'm gonna have to put that on my honey-do list now. So, great fan/light besides the clicking.

Great Fan - Clicking Problem (But found and fixed
4 Star Review   By PaddyG on Home Depot - Jun 19, 2010

After installing and uninstalling the fan several times due to an internal clicking sound, I finally took the motor housing apart and discovered that there are fins on top of the motor that are secured with a single screw each. (The motor housing is factory assembled) One fin was out of alignment and interfering with a mounting screw on the housing. After moving the fins in about 1/16" and reassembling, the clicking sound was gone. Great fan, but QA/QC should have picked this problem up at the factory! Wasted a whole afternoon before finding it. I note that another customer rating this fan had the same problem, but never found it. Easy fix

Great Looking Fan, Bad Lighting.
3 Star Review   By thuan on Home Depot - Jun 8, 2010

We bought this fan for our living room. 60 inches was the perfect size and the fan works perfectly. The down side to the whole thing is the lighting. The top bowl has six sockets for night-light bulbs and the bottom one has three sockets for night-light bulbs. They actually shipped them with night-light bulbs. After some research, I found brighter bulbs with the proper wattage. No problems yet, but still not bright enough. The remote control system was a total surprise because we had the room wired for it. But all we did was cap the ends off, used a blank cover and then screwed the remote housing right over the cover.

horrible fan
1 Star Review   By ktaco on Home Depot - May 27, 2010

We purchased this fan & hired an electrician to install. After the fan had been installed we started to use it & noticed a horrible tapping sound. We thought the fan was uneven & tried to fix the magnets properly on the blades. That didn't work. I had to call the electrician back to check it. Luckily he didn't charge me for another service call. He basically adjusted the fan here & there as best as he could & it seemed that the noise had subsided. After he left & we began using the fan again - the horrible noise was back and we realized it was coming from the motor. So now - we have to buy a NEW fan, pay the electrician AGAIN to come back & take the existing fan down & install a new one. The original fan looked nice but was very difficult to install and the motor was shot. What a waste of time & money!

Great fan
5 Star Review   By tdybear on Home Depot - Feb 18, 2010

This fan is beautiful, well made and easy to install. We connected it to a wall switch as well as the remote. The dimming feature on the lights is wonderful. You can set a bright light or a soft glow with a tough of a button. We have a large kitchen and installed it over a center island. It is a beautiful compliment to stainless appliances and walnut cabinets. If you have a nice size room, do not hesitate to install this larger fan. It looks great.

Perfect for a large Great room
5 Star Review   Home Depot

I bought this fan and installed it myself. It is a well made fan and the design and finish are a striking addition to my large 20x28 great room. I decided not to use the remote control and installed it without the remote operation and it was so easy to figure out the wiring a 5th grader could do it. The only disadvantage is that without the remote I am unable to dim the lights or control the top and bottom lights seperately. The lights are not very high wattage so dont plan on using this as a super bright overhead light. I may try some LED or other type bulbs to increase lumens without over taxing the wiring. The main lights are 3-40w bulbs. Then there are 6 nightlight sized up lights that are very dramatic. It is a beautiful fan and a very good deal compared to others I saw at local light galleries that did not offer as much style or features.

Reverse is Manual ???!!!
1 Star Review   By homeofthedome on Home Depot - Nov 22, 2009

The product labeling gave no indication that this fan was ONLY operable by Remote Control. The installation guide does not give you the option for hardwiring to a wall control either. Also the "reverse" switch is located on the top of the motor. Our ceiling is 23 feet tall so very inconveniet. The cover that houses the remote receiver is for flat installation only. The pitch of our ceiling does not accommodate! I liked the style and large blades, too bad it's being returned!! Also the package did not include the warranty, installation manual. We looked online for it but nothing--then 3 days later it was posted online after we traveled back to the store to get it.

Fan of the fan
4 Star Review   By UnhandyInMass on Home Depot - Oct 19, 2009

We really like the fan. The large blades (60in) fit nicely in the family room. Looks great and not too difficult to install (about 2-3 hrs with no distractions) even if you are not handy like me. Thanks

Beautiful...
5 Star Review   By cdw5208 on Home Depot - Sep 30, 2009

This is the most beautiful ceiling fan with plenty of features. I chose this fan for my large master bedroom. Everyone who has seen it says it looks like a sculpture in the middle of the ceiling. I was able to utilize the longer rod which makes the fan much more dramatic. I would definitely recommend this product if you're looking for something out of the ordinary. One of the best features is the dual lighting, both the top and bottom light fixture have dimmer capability and even have individual buttons on the remote. The blades are reversible and the fan is very quiet. I like the fan so much that I'm seriously considering buying a second one for my large family room. You can't go wrong with this one! Hands down #1 for the money!! Thanks Home Depot....

Fine looking, and smooth operation
4 Star Review   By rash on Home Depot - Jul 21, 2009

A very good fan overall. The fan is a good one, the decorative items, tend to be a little too decorative. I had to call in the electrician who set it up to come in and tighten the rods on the decorative elements, as they were starting to make a light noise. The electrician had a gripe that the cable inside was 5'6" and that my preferred 6' rod could not be attached, so I had to settle for a 4' downrod instead. Fan is beautiful and effective for my family room with 19' ceilings, the remote is a nice touch. The lights can be dimmed too....
