For the cost, these screens are great--especially for old-style windows
5 Star Review   By lisalou3 on Home Depot - Jun 11, 2013

Obviously, you're not buying an extremely sturdy product for under $10. That being said, these screens are perfect if you need a temporary way to let some cool breezes in. I live in an apartment building from 1919 with double-sashed windows. I don't know if they're original, but I know they are old. And since I live on the 6th floor, I couldn't have permanent screens put in without modifying the windows. I just popped these screens in under the bottom sash (and used a little insulation tape to fill in the cracks) and I've been enjoying some circulation. These are not a permanent solution, but they are great if you need something that you will only use for a few weeks or months out of the year. Very happy with my purchase, especially for the cost.

This is not a heavy duty screen but, for the price is satisfactory.

Worked great
4 Star Review   By TerriinCA on Home Depot - May 21, 2013

I purchased 4 of these for our small preschool. The building is very old with no screens. They worker prefectly. The only problem was when I took off the tag the screen came out of the wood frame a little at the same time. But for the price it worked perfectly.

I can breathe
5 Star Review   By Rainezpeace on Home Depot - Mar 27, 2013

It's a screen and it do what screens do. If you have a window in need of a screen.. this screen will do what it do. It is a good size; it almost took up all of my bedroom window. If there was a down side to my purchase, I didn't measure all my windows, and my dininning room windows were too small for the larger screen and I had to return 2 of the 4 I purchase... with ease I might add ;-)

flimsy and poorly made
2 Star Review   By easyfixer on Home Depot - Oct 30, 2012

Cheap but poorly made. Two of the 4 frames had chipped off pieces and the screen on some were separated from the frame when they came I had to glue the corners so the frame would stay together. There were spaces between the two sides that would allow bugs to get in. Cheap but you get what you pay for, sometimes.

Can't get easier to install
5 Star Review   By ATLPSU on Home Depot - Oct 1, 2012

I live in a NYC apt that didn't come with screens on the windows. I saw these on the site and thought that I could "somehow" make them work. They couldn't have fit anymore perfect! Took literally a minuet to put them in and they make a massive difference keeping the windows open.
